The tour was very much as advertised as far as the locations, activities, etc. There was a good balance of touring and free time. DD did a great job as our guide. She was caring and knowledgeable, and what she didn't know right away she found out and got back with us. She managed the group well (in three languages), kept us on time and made good suggestions for free-time activities.

we were a small group - 12 plus the guide. Serena was fabulous. Attentive without hovering and assertive without being bossy. The attention to detail was astounding; very impressed that Serena spent time with us even when the meal or event was not covered.

Communication prior to departure was timely, thorough, and professional, with all the necessary travel details clearly laid out. From the moment we met our guide, Nigel, at Venice Marco Polo Airport, we felt warmly welcomed and fully supported. Throughout the week, Nigel provided clear guidance with a consistently positive and engaging energy that set the tone for a relaxed and well-organized adventure. The daily hikes were thoughtfully curated; each one unique, awe-inspiring, and designed to showcase the natural beauty and cultural richness of the region. The routes reflected a deep respect for local traditions and landscapes, offering both variety and meaningful experiences. Our free day was a highlight in itself; we chose to rent e-bikes and cycle into Austria, which turned out to be a perfect blend of fun, exploration, and rejuvenation. A heartfelt thank you to Nigel, whose presence made all the difference. He went above and beyond, anticipating the needs of every traveler with a rare combination of attentiveness, humor, empathy, and deep local knowledge. His storytelling and cultural insights added depth to each destination, and he created a warm and inclusive atmosphere that made everyone feel at ease. We returned home not only deeply satisfied with the quality of the walking experience, but also enriched by the connections we made with our fellow travelers. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!
