The tour went very well with excellent tour guides throughout with special mention of Ayoub in Morocco with whom we spent most of our time. The hotels were all quite good and I would rate those in Rabat, Marrakech and Fez as excellent. Breakfast and food throughout was good. Camel ride on the Sahara in Morocco, Bernabeau tour, Alhambra and the Flamenco in Seville (and the local tour guide) among others are memorable. Some of the buses were a bit cramped for legroom even for average height folks… should avoid these on longer drives.

We finished our tour today and fly back home tomorrow. We wanted to thank you for putting together such an exciting and mind-expanding experience in Morocco, Egypt and Jordan. We met some fantastic guides/drivers and stayed in some exceptional hotels too, which is more than we expected. I have already recommended you to one of our friends who is looking at just the Egypt and Jordan portions of the trip. All our guides are highly recommended and deserve to be high on your list for future bookings. All the hotels we stayed at were more than we expected, although the Radison on the Dead Sea was a bit of a disappointment. Everything went smoothly, with the next guide or airport connection always waiting for us and ready to help. Truly outstanding service. Thank you for making our first visit to these countries so memorable and smooth. All the best! Rick and Jutta

Best tour companies for North Africa tours
Intrepid and Vacations To Go both excel at showing travelers the real North Africa. Our cyclists who've gone with Intrepid in Morocco tell us the guides Said and Faisl make all the difference - they know every backroad, local cafe and hidden spot worth visiting. The food gets constant mentions too; you're not just tasting tourist versions but actual home-cooking and street food that locals love. Vacations To Go has really figured out how to handle the logistics across Morocco, Egypt and Jordan - which matters a lot when you're dealing with busy sites like the Pyramids and Petra. Their coordinator Magdy comes up in reviews again and again for making pre-trip planning smooth and straightforward. What's particularly useful is how their local guides know exactly when to visit major sites, so you're not stuck in the worst crowds or midday heat. Both companies nail the basics while adding those extra touches that turn a good trip into a great one. Whether it's Intrepid's cycling routes that take you through villages tourists rarely see, or Vacations To Go's knack for timing visits just right at ancient monuments - they've clearly put in the work to understand what makes these destinations tick. The guides deserve special mention because they're not just showing you around; they're helping you understand the culture, history and daily life in ways you simply couldn't get on your own. Plus they handle all those small daily decisions that can make or break a trip in this region.

- Winter 2025 / 2026
Morocco really shines in winter when the crowds thin out. Our most popular routes take you from Casablanca through Marrakech and into the Atlas Mountains where snow-topped peaks create quite a backdrop for desert exploration. While snow sometimes blocks mountain passes, our guides know the smart detours to keep trips moving smoothly. Several of our tours combine Madrid, Lisbon and Morocco these months - it's a nice mix of European cities and North African culture. The Hassan II Mosque visits in Casablanca work particularly well in winter; those detailed mosaics look fantastic against clear blue skies.

- Spring 2026
Our Egypt and Jordan combo tours fill quickly in spring, and you'll see why. The desert weather sits perfectly for Valley of the Kings visits and climbing Petra's steps. The 5-star Nile cruises are especially nice this time of year - you can actually enjoy deck time watching riverside villages without overheating. That 4:45 AM start for the Abu Simbel optional tour might sound rough, but our travelers tell us catching those massive temples at sunrise makes it worth every early minute. In Morocco, the Roses Valley bursts into bloom and our Dades region tours line up nicely with local harvest celebrations.

- Summer 2026
North Africa needs smart planning in summer, but our highest-rated tours handle the season well. We start early - like 7:30 AM at the Pyramids when the light works magic for photos and you'll beat the crowds too. Many routes blend cultural stops with beach time, connecting Casablanca, Rabat and also Tangier. Our Atlantic Route tours get great feedback from summer guests; you'll explore El Jadida's UNESCO citadel, wander Essaouira's white medina and cool off at Agadir's beaches. Lots of summer travelers go for our upgraded transport options, swapping longer bus rides for quick flights between major stops.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall conditions are perfect for our bigger North African journeys. The 21-day routes through Morocco, Egypt and Jordan really hit their stride - you can properly explore Fes' old tanneries, sleep under stars in Wadi Rum and float down the Nile all in one go. Our travelers love these autumn tours for hitting all the cultural highlights without weather hassles. The Sahara portions work especially well; camel rides across dunes lead to Berber camps where dinner under starlight feels just right in the cool evening. Several trips time Petra visits for candlelit walks through the Siq - many guests tell us it becomes their favorite memory.
