This was our first time doing this type of tour, so we might not have known what to expect. We’ve done tons of tours and large cruises, but not one on a boat like this. There were things we absolutely loved and things we didn’t. But, since it was our 1st experience, maybe we just weren’t used to it. The overall experience was amazing! We would recommend doing this to anyone! Loved watching the scenery and water as the boat went from place to place. Loved jumping in and swimming in beautiful locations. Loved most of the ports. The scheduled tours were fantastic. The food was good. The cook was super friendly. The captain seemed to know what he was doing and we felt very safe! The crew was really nice. We requested NA beer and it was on board. It was very relaxing. I took so many pictures! We were shocked that water had to be purchased. Coffee and juice were provided with breakfast but no drinks were offered for lunch or our one dinner. Most boats we climbed through had places to refill your water bottles. We were buying small plastic water bottles for 4€. Since you aren’t allowed to bring drinks on board you were stuck buying lots of water! Also, cabins weren’t cleaned for the 8 days and new towels and toilet paper were only given to us once. Maybe that is normal? The deck loungers and chairs were hard plastic and most had cracks that would pinch you, your suit or your towel. The tour you buy isn’t what you get. The captain decides where you are going. You will find out late the night before so it’s a little hard to plan for port time. Luckily we had spent a few days in Split before we boarded. Other boats went to Split but our captain said because of construction we couldn’t go. I can’t imagine coming all the way to Croatia and not seeing Split. We went to Milna instead. Which, was a complete waste of a vacation day and the only day I was unhappy with. We went into Milna early around 2:00. The place is super tiny. There was nothing to do or see so most of the guests walked around and then took a nap. The other ports were amazing. Incredible things to do and see. Super happy with all of our other stops. Also, we didn’t find out what boat we were on until 2 days before. We were told 2 other boats 1st. Since we are coming into this with very little experience, I would have preferred a more detailed explanations of the cabin types and boat categories. I would have selected a different type of cabin and boat level. Also, you start and end in Trogir. You come in pretty early on your last full day. The boat is then taken over by supplies and crew is tearing everything up getting ready for the next cruise. For example the area and chair at the top of our stairs was covered with piles of new linens and towels wrapped in plastic, so we had to climb around them before we could leave the hallway. We were told to meet in the galley for information meeting and our crew is pulling out supplies from under the seats, behind the bar and in the kitchen and piling them on the tables so it’s hard to hear. The program says you disembark at 9:00 but the captain will tell you 8:30 and honestly the crew prep, supplies and chaos is so much you will want to depart as early as you can. I would have appreciated a group thread on What’s App. I think that would have helped with communication. It would have been nice to have some info about each port. If we would have had a group thread, it would be super easy to post things like the cost of the Mjet park, where to get tickets, top things to do or the days weather.

The guide was the best ever. The rides were as described. The Vis hotel was a little lacking, loud guests, bad coffee, noisy beds

Best time to visit Croatia
- Summer 2026
Summer brings our most popular sailing trips between Split and Dubrovnik. The routes take you to perfect swimming spots in hidden bays and to islands like Mljet, where you can bike around saltwater lakes and explore the national park. The premium boats offer proper comfort - air-conditioned cabins and plenty of space on the sun decks, while stops at beach clubs in Hvar and Makarska add some nightlife options. The land tours work well in summer too - you'll walk Dubrovnik's walls early before the crowds appear and take trips to places like Korcula where local hosts serve traditional meals and share stories about island life.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn is when Croatia's food scene really shines, with coastal tours focusing on local flavors. The Peljesac Peninsula's vineyards are at their best in September and October - you can sample the local Plavac Mali wines and visit olive oil makers. Walking through Korcula's inland villages shows you authentic island life, with stops for homemade brandies and regional dishes. Our small groups of 6-7 people can easily fit into family restaurants and learn about Dalmatian cooking. The sea stays warm enough for swimming but you'll find emptier beaches and more chances to connect with locals.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Winter visits to Croatia give you a fresh take on this coastal destination. The popular 6-day route from Zagreb to the coast works especially well in winter months, when Plitvice Lakes' wooden walkways are blissfully free of summer crowds. Our travelers tell us how much they value the local guides, who share rich cultural stories during walks through Zagreb's medieval Upper Town and Split's Diocletian's Palace. Another excellent cold-season choice centers on Split's historic heart, blending coffee culture and city discoveries with excursions to Plitvice Lakes National Park. These tours shine in winter as you'll find space to capture perfect waterfall photos and spot wildlife like deer and rare birds in the parks. The atmosphere feels relaxed and authentic, letting you experience local life - whether you're warming up in Split's traditional coffee houses or walking Dubrovnik's ancient walls, watching winter waves crash against the rocks below.

- Spring 2027
Spring shows off Croatia's best cycling routes, especially along the Dalmatian Coast. The quiet roads of Hvar and Korcula islands work perfectly in April and May, with daily rides between 27 and 62 kilometers. Having support vehicles nearby means you can take those big climbs at whatever speed suits you - like the scenic route up to Hvar's peak past old lavender fields. The spring walking tours are excellent too, with small groups of 6-7 people exploring Plitvice Lakes on wooden walkways and heading into the quieter parts of Paklenica National Park. Our travelers particularly like mixing active mornings with cultural stops; you might cycle through olive groves, then spend afternoons wandering Split's Roman ruins or tasting wines at family vineyards.
