What people love about Croatia Tours for Couples
- Dalmatian Highlights Split and Dubrovnik Region Cruise (Superior Boat Category)
This was our 1st time doing a tour like this. There were parts we absolutely loved and parts we didn’t. It night be that we didn’t know what to expect. The overall vacation was amazing! We would definitely recommend it!’ We loved watching the beautiful scenery as the boat cruised by. We loved swimming in some of the most beautiful places! Most of the ports were amazing! We lived having time to explore all the different areas. The crew was very nice. The cook was super nice. The food was good. The captain seemed to know what he was doing. We always felt safe. The guides that were scheduled were fantastic! We were very surprised we had to buy water. You can’t bring anything on board so you are stuck buying tiny water bottles for €4. Breakfast came with coffee and juice but lunch and the one dinner had no drinks. All the other boats we climbed through at port had a place to refill your water bottles. Also, the schedule you book isn’t the one you do. The captain chooses. We skipped Split. Other boats went but we didn’t. We went to Milna instead. That was very disappointing and a waste of a vacation day. We went in early, around 2:00. It was super tiny with nothing to do. Most of us walked around and then took a nap. Split is a top destination for anyone coming to Croatia!! Real bummer to skip it! It would have been helpful to have a group What’s App thread. The schedule could be posted there, maybe info about the port, where to buy tickets, top things to do, etc. We would get the next days port and schedule the night before, which made it a tiny hard to plan port time. The deck chairs and loungers are hard plastic. Most have cracks that pinch you, your suit or your towel. Your cabin will not be cleaned all week and you will only get toilet paper and a new towel once. Maybe that is normal for this type of thing. The descriptions of rooms and boats needs to be a little better for novices like me. I would have booked a higher level of boat and cabin if I’d have known what I was getting. We were told 2 different boats prior to getting our last boat assignment 2 days prior to take off. The final full day you return to Trogir fairly early. The ship will get completely taken over by new supplies and the crew getting ready for you to leave and a new group to board. For example, the area at the top of our stairs was filled with piles of plastic wrapped lines and towels, we had to climb around to get out of the hallway. There was an information meeting in the galley and the crew is taking supplies out from under seats, behind the bar and in the kitchen and piling it on tables so it’s hard to hear. The program says you will leave at 9:00, but the captain will tell you off at 8:30 and it will be so chaotic with supplies and crew you will want to get off asap. Would we do it again, YES!!

a very good trip with good itinerary and a helpful crew, but our cabin was old and smelled of diesel

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and loved our time on the Dalmatian Coastline.
What our customers ask about Romantic Croatia Trips & Honeymoon Packages
When is the best time for couples to visit Croatia?
Plan your visit between May and September when the weather is perfect, with temperatures between 68-86°F (20-30°C). If you want to skip the biggest crowds but still enjoy great weather, go in June or September. Many travelers love visiting Hvar Island in July to see the beautiful lavender fields in bloom. Looking to save money and have more space to yourselves? Try May or early October - the weather is still nice, and you'll find better deals in popular spots like Split and Dubrovnik.
What are the most recommended couples' accommodations in Croatia?
You'll find some really special places to stay across Croatia. In Dubrovnik, check out the 5-star Hotel More - it has beautiful rooms with ocean views and a really cool bar built into a cave. Over in Split, the Hotel President puts you right by the famous Diocletian's Palace in an old-world setting. If you're heading to Hvar Island, Hotel Paros gives you amazing views of the coast. Many travelers say the Valamar Lacroma in Dubrovnik is worth splurging on - especially for watching the sun set over the Adriatic from your room.
Which Croatian cities offer the best romantic dining experiences?
Some of the most special dining spots are hidden in Dubrovnik's Old Town, especially along Stradun Street. In Split, you can eat inside the ancient walls of Diocletian's Palace, where local restaurants serve traditional Dalmatian food in really atmospheric settings. Travelers often mention how much they love having dinner by the water in Hvar Town as the sun sets. Korčula's old town is perfect for finding cozy wine bars. For special occasions, try the rooftop restaurants at Hotel More in Dubrovnik or Hotel President in Split.
Which Croatian islands are best suited for a couples' getaway?
Hvar Island tops the list with its mix of lavender fields, nice hotels like Hotel Paros, and stylish beach clubs. Korčula feels like stepping back in time with its small medieval streets and waterfront restaurants. If you want to get away from it all, head to Vis Island - travelers say it feels like old-school Mediterranean, with quiet beaches and wine tasting in centuries-old cellars. For nature lovers, Mljet is perfect - its National Park has two peaceful salt lakes where you can spend quiet time together.
What unique romantic experiences are available in Croatia?
You can do some really special things together in Croatia. Try wine tasting in old cellars on Vis Island, take a private boat ride around the Pakleni Islands at sunset, or taste fresh oysters in Ston. You can plan private dinners in medieval castles, take boat trips to hidden beaches, or walk along Dubrovnik's city walls at night. One traveler wrote, "The evening walks through Split's historical center, followed by wine tasting experiences, created unforgettable romantic moments."
What are the most romantic locations included in Croatia tours for couples?
You'll find romance all over Croatia. Hvar town is especially charming with its lavender fields and amazing sunsets. Dubrovnik's Old Town feels magical at night with its lit-up stone streets and cozy restaurants. Mljet National Park offers peace and quiet with two beautiful saltwater lakes. Many travelers love finding secluded spots on the Pakleni Islands near Hvar. The seaside dining at Hotel More in Dubrovnik is really special. Don't miss Korčula either - its wine bars and old Venetian buildings make for perfect evening walks together.
