This trip takes you to Istanbul's 6th-century Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque with its famous Iznik tiles, and the busy Grand Bazaar. You'll walk the marble streets of 2,000-year-old Ephesus to see Hadrian's Temple and the Library of Celsus, then head to Gallipoli's ANZAC Cove.

In Istanbul, you'll tour Topkapi Palace including the Hagia Irene and Harem sections, see the Blue Mosque's tilework, and check out St Sophia Museum and the ancient Hippodrome. The trip also covers Goreme Valley's Byzantine frescoes, Cappadocia's underground city, and Mount Nemrut's 2,000-year-old stone heads.

Check out the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open Air Museum where you'll see ancient rock-cut churches and frescoes, then head to the towering Uçhisar Castle that overlooks the lunar-like valleys. Walk through Paşabağ to see the famous three-headed Fairy Chimneys and go down into a multi-level underground city.

The 15th-century Topkapi Palace is where Ottoman sultans governed, and next door you'll find Hagia Sophia with its massive Byzantine dome. The Suleymaniye Mosque has four tall minarets and stained-glass windows, built by architect Mimar Sinan between 1550 and 1557, and there's a Bosphorus boat cruise.

Visit the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open Air Museum to see ancient rock-cut churches and frescoes, then head down into the 60-meter-deep Derinkuyu Underground City with its chapels, wells, and stables carved by early Christians. Float above Cappadocia's fairy chimneys in an optional hot air balloon at sunrise, then walk through Pigeon Valley and check out the rock fortress of Uchisar Castle.
