The places where more time is required for only very less time and some very unimportant places got plenty of time. This was the feeing for our entire group.example: at Milan( Italy) we got hardly 2 hrs. Before reaching Milan , we were forced to spent 3 hrs at a place in Switzerland which was not at all important and we lost the time we took to reach there. We could have used that time to spent at Milan.Even shopping time at all the location were very very less or can say not provided.Regarding accommodation -rooms at the places where we spent more days were below average with small rooms. And the place were we spent just for a night was better.Even though we requested for adjacent rooms in advance for our family of 4, it was not provided.Final day at Rome , we requested for late check out.But not permitted.
Joyful Treasures GOLove the tour with Francesca in… Love the tour with Francesca in Florence. Very sweet and knowledgeable and attended to every request we had. ❤️
Wonders of Europe: A 17-Day Grand Tour from London to RomeLet me start by saying that overall this trip was great and a dream come true for our group. The only reason I rate this 4 stars is because the tour company assured me that this would be a self-passed, easy-going trip to take with both children and elderly family members, but we did not feel like that was the case. We found that navigating the public transportation system in every city, with luggage (even if it was just a carry-on and a backpack for each person) was difficult if you are not an athlete or younger than 50 years old. The hotels being 800 meters to sometimes 1.1km from the train stations were not as “walkable” as advertised. We also felt like the itinerary was rushed and we had very little time in each city to actually enjoy ourselves. This tour is more of a “check things off a bucket list” or “sampler platter” of European cities. We believe we could have enjoyed ourselves more with an additional day in Lucerne instead of moving to Zurich (especially because the excursion in Zurich was a train ride to Rhine Falls) or enjoying the day in Florence instead of a timed ticket to Pisa. We also felt that the walking tours of each city were nice but easier to do on our own instead of having a guide. A guided tour of the Notre Dame Cathedral, Vatican City or the Colosseum would have made those excursions more informative. We did have unforeseen issues in the Amsterdam airport due to airport equipment being broken and police activity that shut down customs, which caused us to miss our transfer to the hotel, so I do wish we could get a refund for that uber ride we ended up having to take. But with all that, we did enjoy ourselves and the tour company was very communicative prior to the trip and once the trip when we had questions regarding certain things.

Best time to visit Italy and Switzerland
- Summer 2026
Summer multi-country routes between Italy and Switzerland give you several excellent options. A popular 16-destination journey starts at Vatican City early in the day before moving on to Trastevere, where you can dine among locals in the evening. Another solid 12-day option includes skip-the-line privileges at major attractions, and our customers love starting guided visits early to avoid peak crowds. The Tuscany to Alps route combines hands-on activities like pizza-making in Rome, quiet evening gondola rides in Venice's lesser-known canals and practical perks. Many tours help you bypass Eiffel Tower queues, while adding Seine River cruises that offer a welcome break from walking in the summer heat. Peak season comfort comes from well-positioned hotels - you might overlook Swiss lakes or find yourself steps away from St. Mark's Square in Venice. What works particularly well about these summer routes is how they mix guided morning activities, when temperatures are cooler, with plenty of independent exploration time later in the day.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall fills with harvest celebrations and rich autumn colors. One top seller follows golden larch forests through Engadine National Park, where the trees contrast beautifully against 12,000-foot peaks. Another combines Turin's food festivals with Swiss scenic train rides - perfectly timed for wine harvests in the Aosta Valley. The third most booked route starts in Madrid, moves through a quieter Barcelona and also reaches Switzerland right at peak fall colors. Lake Como proves particularly special in autumn when gardens show their seasonal changes without summer crowds. The fifth most popular fall tour explores the Dolomites and Swiss Alps during prime hiking weather, with visits to Lake Carezza and also ancient Novacella Abbey.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Our winter tours blend sports with cultural discoveries in compelling ways. When you drive a Porsche through the Swiss Alps mountain passes, you'll find yourself stopping at Oberhofen Castle and exploring UNESCO's Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve along snow-covered roads. The cable car ride to Glacier 3000 gives you access to a suspended bridge between peaks, plus time to discover the fascinating Ice Cathedral carved deep within. Many clients start in Paris with quick entry to the Eiffel Tower before heading to Switzerland's winter peaks. Two other routes focus on Italian Lakes and Swiss mountain towns - one takes you on the Bernina Express train climbing past 7,000 feet, while another combines Gruyères cheese tasting and also Swiss chocolate sampling at Maison Cailler.

- Spring 2027
Spring brings perfect temperatures and smaller crowds. Our most requested route begins with early Vatican visits in Rome, then moves north to Florence where you can watch skilled artisans work with leather using traditional methods. Another popular choice starts with Seine River cruises and walks through Montmartre in Paris, then crosses into Switzerland where Lucerne's medieval streets come alive with spring flowers. The Alpine route really shines this season - you'll experience both the Bernina Express and also Glacier Express trains just as mountain wildflowers appear. Many travelers love walking through Florence's Boboli Gardens in full bloom before exploring Switzerland's Three Lakes region. The fifth most popular spring tour connects Barcelona's Gaudi sites with Swiss mountains, including stops in medieval Girona and also UNESCO-protected Arles.
