What an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! We’ve just finished our Central America trip with Intro Travel, and I genuinely cannot recommend it enough. A massive part of what made this trip so special was our two fantastic group leaders, Ceci and Omar. They were both absolutely brilliant throughout and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had the best possible experience. From the organisation and travelling between destinations to the activities, accommodation and everything in between, the whole trip ran seamlessly. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they managed to strike the perfect balance between keeping everything organised and making the experience relaxed, fun and enjoyable. What really stood out was how much they genuinely cared about everyone in the group. They weren’t just brilliant guides, they were great people to spend the trip with, and their enthusiasm, knowledge and personalities made an already incredible adventure even better. We’ve made some amazing memories, visited incredible places and experienced things we’ll never forget. I honestly couldn’t fault a single part of the trip. A huge thank you to Ceci and Omar for making it so special. They’re both a real credit to Intro Travel, and anyone lucky enough to have them as their group leaders is in for an amazing time!

Mayan EncounterThis was a great tour to become immersed in the cultures of all 3 countries. I booked without accommodation as I did not want to stay in hostels as an older person doing the tour so I arranged budget hotels at my expense instead. Just to warn other travellers, you need to be physically fit to do this tour, as there is a volcano hike that is around 4km, as well as a 2km hike around Semuc Champey. Be prepared for that one as well - it took me by surprise because of the humidity in the Lanquin valley as well as by how slippery some of the steps were. I recommend travellers also bring water shoes for this activity and also for any other swimming and snorkeling activities you may sign up for in Caye Caulker or Tulum. Be advised as well that there are a number of long bus rides, especially the one from Belize to Mexico, and wifi isn’t always available on the bus. Buying an eSIM isn’t a bad idea. The earliest morning was the tour to Tikal as it departed at 4:30am. You will be thankful that it’s early since it can be quite humid in northern Guatemala as well. Bring bug spray for your ankles, as the stories about the sand fleas are no joke. This is a great tour but be prepared for the mental and physical challenges.
