Andrea was not only a good groupleader, she felt as a friend as well! I completely trusted her the whole time, and she did her best to gave us an amazing time🩷
Central America IntroIt was our first group tour and we enjoyed it very much. We had two excellent guides in Hugo and Araceli who made the timetable run smoothly. Most of the hotels we stayed in were nice and comfortable. The transport was generally good. Snorkeling and caving in Belize, swimming in the cenote in Mexico and Tikal visit in Guatemala will be enduring memories.
Maya AdventureOverall the organisation of the trips and buses in Guatemala were excellent. I did have a WhatsApp number I could communicate with in relation to plans and times. As we got to Caye Caulker island Belize their were no excursions included. I personally messaged the company and stayed an extra day 3 days as the travelling every 2 day catches up after a week. I asked the company as their were no further excursions planned from Belize to Mexico would it be possible to rearrange the journey. When I left Caye Caulker island staying 3 days instead of 2 which is advisable its beautiful and you will have been travelling for a week, I asked the tour to organise transport from Chetumal to Bacalar where their is a famous mineral lake and beautiful town. I have advised to add this stop. Also their was a plan from Tulum to stop in Playa del Carmen for an hour with bag pack. I questioned this as how would you manage an hour on the beach with your belongings and then get on a bus to Cancun. I actually added Bacalar and went to the airport in cancun after 1 night and day in Tulum which is beautiful. Personally I would avoid Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Highly expensive and not as untouched as other places. I also booked my own accommodation as I didn't realise it was separate to the booking. I booked most of their suggested accommodation however my own room in hostels. I believe I saved just under 300 euros doing this myself. The tour provider were excellent at communicating with me and booking ADO buses for me from South Mexico as I arranged my own route from their. Keeping in mind their are no excursions from Belize Caye Caulker on in th trip. Guatemala was beautiful and easy to travel in as each pack packers would book the shuttle busses for other guests. The route is well travelled with most going the same way. It was a great trip. I would advise using the recommended accommodation however booking your own room. Sweet dreams in Atalan wasn't great Standard however it was cheap for a double room. I chose different accommodation in Belize Caye Caulker and Tulum. The company did accept my changes on route and booked all ADO buses. The lady that looked after to me was excellent from that point of view. My recommendations. 1. GUATEMALA ALL SUGGESTED STOPS AND TOURS. 2. BOOK YOUR OWN ACCOMMODATION HOSTAL OASIS LANQUIN BEST. OTHERS I sought Mostly 3.As the excursions are not added from Caye caulker Belize. 3 nights their for rest after travelling. Bacalar, Tulum then if needs must Cancun

Best time to visit Guatemala, Belize and Mexico
- Summer 2026
Summer itineraries balance water activities with cultural exploration. You'll swim in hidden cenotes around Playa del Carmen and take boat rides through the towering walls of Sumidero Canyon. Our customers particularly enjoy mixing busy mornings at sites like Monte Alban with lazy afternoons on Caye Caulker's beaches. Guatemala highland homestays let you learn traditional cooking and weaving directly from Maya families. The summer months are great for wildlife spotting in Tikal National Park, and you'll see plenty of volcanic activity around Antigua.
- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall brings lighter crowds at major archaeological sites and pleasant temperatures for exploring. Popular routes combine Palenque's jungle ruins with time in Oaxaca's lively markets and local mezcal distilleries. The harvest season adds extra energy to Chichicastenango market, which our travelers say makes the experience even more special. Lake Atitlan shows off its best side in fall - clear skies mean perfect volcano views and ideal conditions for getting out on the water in kayaks. The weather's also great for watching marine life in Belize's reserves and exploring the limestone caves near San Ignacio.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Winter's mild temperatures make exploring ancient Maya sites really comfortable. Many travelers combine Tikal's temples with beach time along Mexico's Yucatan coast. Starting early at Chichen Itza helps beat the crowds and heat, and there are always refreshing cenotes nearby for a cooling swim. Our routes through colonial Oaxaca and San Cristobal connect you with authentic Maya textile markets where local artisans still use traditional methods. The homestays near Lake Atitlan are a customer favorite - sharing evening meals and stories with local families adds such a personal touch to the journey. Clear winter skies create perfect conditions for snorkeling with nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve and exploring the jungle paths along Rio Dulce.

- Spring 2027
Spring routes often kick off in Mexico City with visits to Teotihuacan before heading into Guatemala's highlands. The weather's just right for hiking around Antigua's volcanoes, and the streets look beautiful when purple jacaranda flowers are in bloom. Many travelers love mixing cultural visits with swimming in Bacalar's clear lagoon and also Tulum's Caribbean waters. Our Caye Caulker routes take advantage of spring's excellent water visibility - you can spot lots of marine life along the barrier reef and sometimes catch glimpses of manatees in their natural habitat.
