Austria Tours & Trips

Austria is a fantastic destination year-round. In winter, hit the slopes in the Alps and sip mulled wine at Vienna’s magical Christmas markets. The capital is a must in other seasons, too: visit Schönbrunn, the Belvedere, and historic cafés like Central. Salzburg boasts pastel-colored houses and a hilltop-perching fortress. Add the idyllic village of Hallstatt, embraced by mountains, to your list.

I enjoyed this trip very much! Itinerary was great, Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, and Hallstatt are all excellent places to see. I might suggest top of Innsbruck cable car instead of crystal world. All trains were smooth and efficient, and public transportation within cities is great, just make sure to have your tickets at all times. Hotels were nice, WiseYatra points out that European hotel rooms are small, and they were for the most part, but big enough and breakfasts were great. We were particularly pleased that Tourradar and WiseYatra put this together for us at last second after our River cruise cancelled due to low water. So go and enjoy beautiful Austria in one week!
Austria in a Week (Best of Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck)

Beautiful country. The hotels were very comfortable, clean, and safe. the downside was I was the only person on my tour/ circuit. I was so hoping for there to be others that I could have run into and hiked with. However, it was near the end of the season. So my mistake. With Eurohike I had to prompt them to give me information. Like my hotel literary, and hike guide. also I learned after arriving that there was an app that was essential to navigating the trails. Since there are so many junctions and side trails on the course. It took 2 days to get the guide files. As a result for the first 2 days of hiking I lost track a few times & had to back track to get back on the desired trail. I'm sure if I was with other hikers this wouldn't have been as big a challenge. Overall a fairly great experience. Hopefully going to do another one with the lessons I have learned from this one.

It was my first time trekking self guided, and I was lost in so many informations, but in a couple of days, got my confidence back and everything went well. The Wolfgangsee is impressive!!! So was Hallstad from the other side of the lake. Once in the vilage no so great, with lots of small tents, selling everything. The food in every town was great. Bad Ichl is wonderful. Good idea to stay there for a rest day. I totally recomend this tripé. Gustavo
