This was such an exceptional tour from start to finish! My partner and I absolutely loved this program for our holiday this past October/November. Big standouts for us included the pace for the tour, with wonderful stops and insightful knowledge from our teriffic guides. The accommodations, 5 star hotels, were all exceptional with beautiful rooms, service, and amenities. We were very grateful as well that we could wrap up our tour each day around 3pm. This ensured ample time forul us to recover/rest and to really feel on holiday! Cambodia is a genuinely beautiful and inspiring destination - this tour really ensures you get the most out of it, with many unique, fun, and enjoyable destinations along the way. 5 stars for sure!

What our customers ask about Cambodia Family Tours
What are the best family-friendly activities and attractions in Cambodia?
From ancient temples to vibrant markets Cambodia provides activities that keep both parents and children engaged. Families can cycle through the tree-lined paths of Angkor Wat take ox-cart rides in rural Siem Reap villages or boat through the floating communities of Tonle Sap Lake. The energetic Phare Circus combines traditional Khmer storytelling with modern acrobatics while the Artisans d'Angkor workshops let visitors watch craftspeople create traditional art pieces. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "This was the perfect short tour to do with a teenager. A mix of cultural and fun activities that we both enjoyed."
What types of accommodation options are available for families in Cambodia?
Family-focused lodging in Cambodia ranges from budget-friendly hotels to upscale resorts. Siem Reap's Angkor Holiday Hotel features family rooms and a pool that's popular with younger guests while the Royal Angkor Resort provides practical connecting rooms. In the capital city the Palace Gate Hotel's family suites come with child-friendly amenities. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The hotels were well located - max 10-15 minutes walk from main attractions but sufficiently tucked away to be quiet, even though so close to the hub of activity."
What's the best time of year to visit Cambodia with family?
Plan your family trip between November and March during Cambodia's dry season when temperatures hover between 75-85°F (24-29°C) with minimal rain. These conditions make exploring outdoor sites like Angkor Wat more comfortable. For Tonle Sap Lake visits aim for August through February when water levels peak. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "We had wonderful weather in December making it perfect for long days of sightseeing with the kids."
What safety considerations should families keep in mind while traveling in Cambodia?
Cambodia welcomes families with open arms but practical precautions help ensure a smooth trip. The intense sun and heat particularly around Siem Reap's temples where temperatures often reach 90°F (32°C) require consistent hydration and sun protection. Select accommodations with security measures like the Anik Palace Hotel in Phnom Penh. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned: "We felt safe and informed every day. Our guides were very attentive to our family's needs and always made sure we had enough water and rest stops."
What educational experiences are available for children in Cambodia?
Children can discover Cambodian heritage through hands-on learning experiences. The Artisans d'Angkor workshops in Siem Reap demonstrate traditional craftsmanship while village visits near Battambang offer cultural exchange opportunities. Phnom Penh's National Museum presents Khmer history through child-friendly exhibits. A TourRadar traveler commented: "Both our guides were delightful and knowledgeable and very flexible with our teenager making the historical sites fascinating and engaging."
How can families best experience local Cambodian culture?
Real cultural connections happen through direct engagement with local life. Families can explore the water-based communities of Tonle Sap Lake join traditional temple blessing ceremonies or learn Khmer cooking in Siem Reap's culinary schools. The Chansar village program lets visitors ride ox-carts and spend time with local families. A TourRadar traveler shared: "We loved the cultural experiences especially the village visit where our children could interact with local kids and learn about daily life in Cambodia."
