Suri, our tour guide, did his job well. He is very accommodating and made sure that everyone feels like family. I didn’t like some of the hotels, though, especially the Novotel in Florence. It is very outdated and moldy. I even slipped on the bathtub because it was too high and the curtains are hitting the floor. I ended up with a sprained wrist and big bruise on my hips. Actually most of the hotels are located far from the tourist destination.

A very well organised trip. Less time needed at some of the lunch spots and more time at the night spots would improve the trip. Shopping at some of the lunch spots was difficult as shops were closed for siesta. The driver, Giarnno, was excellent, made us feel very safe. The guide Goran, was very knowledgable and added to the tour with his humour.

- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter in these regions really works well with its blend of city walks and snow activities. Our winter routes linking Prague's Old Town with Swiss spots like Kitzbühel are consistently full - you can find snow here most of the year. The Munich, Innsbruck and also Zurich combinations sell quickly, where you'll explore traditional Christmas markets before heading to mountain resorts. Our customers tell us they love how these tours mix urban exploring with alpine experiences, like visiting the Swarovski Museum on the way to Switzerland. Those Tyrolean Alps routes get great feedback for balancing guided city tours with free time to wander snowy villages yourself.

Spring makes these regions come alive as alpine flowers emerge and mountain passes open up. Some routes add nice touches like Mount Stanserhorn's cable car rides where Swiss rangers point out local wildlife. Our multi-country tours from London, Paris and also Switzerland work perfectly in spring, mixing city visits with mountain views as the Alps shed their snow. So What's the Best Way to Experience These Amazing Alpine Countries?
The Alps stretch across Austria Italy and Switzerland and wow there's so much to discover here. If you love hiking you'll find Switzerland's trails are incredibly well maintained especially around the Morteratsch Glacier near St. Moritz. For skiing enthusiasts Kitzbühel in Austria is pretty amazing with snow lasting up to 9 months of the year if you can believe it. The cable cars in Grindelwald Switzerland take you up to these incredible suspended bridges where you get the most breathtaking glacier views. Oh and don't miss the Bernina Express it's this fantastic train that winds through the Alps from St. Moritz to Tirano in Italy just gorgeous.
Looking for Cities That Give You Both Urban Life and Nature?
Lucerne in Switzerland is really perfect for this you've got this beautiful old town with the famous Chapel Bridge but then you're just minutes from the mountains. You can hop on cable cars or scenic trains like the one that takes you up Mount Titlis it's pretty incredible. Innsbruck Austria is another gem right in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps where you can explore this amazing historic center then head right out for hiking or winter sports.
How Do You Get Around These Countries Without Driving?
The train system here is absolutely brilliant. You can start with the Eurostar from London to Paris then connect to Swiss and Italian railways it's all so smooth. The Swiss railway network is particularly impressive taking you from busy Zurich to these lovely alpine villages like Zernez which sits right on the Glacier Express route.
Which Cultural Spots Really Shouldn't Be Missed?
You've got to see Salzburg in Austria Mozart's hometown with all its Renaissance and Baroque buildings it's just stunning. The Murano Glass Factory in Venice is fascinating watching those artisans at work. And the Swarovski Museum in Innsbruck is really something else with these amazing crystal gardens and you get to see how it's all made.
What About the Must-Try Food Experiences?
Florence has these incredible pasta places and you'll find lots of international options too. In Gruyères Switzerland you absolutely have to try the traditional fondue I mean the village is famous worldwide for its cheese. Then there's Vienna's Grinzing district which used to be this separate wine village but now it's part of the city with these charming taverns serving local dishes you'll love it.
