7 Days in India's Golden Triangle, incl. Delhi and Jaipur
The 7-day Golden Triangle circuit winds through Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur covering 733 km. Watch the sunrise at Taj Mahal, visit UNESCO-listed Fatehpur Sikri, and ride elephants at Amber Fort. Tour includes 6 World Heritage sites with expert local guides.

- Days 1-2
Delhi
Start your journey in India's bustling capital. Use your first afternoon to rest and adjust to the time zone. On day two take an early morning rickshaw ride through the spice market at Chandni Chowk. "The cycle rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk was exhilarating—go before 10 AM when the crowds are manageable and it's not too hot." Visit Jama Masjid in the morning before the marble gets too hot for bare feet. Save Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar for the afternoon when the lighting is perfect for photos.

- Day 3
Delhi to Agra (220 km/3.5 hours)
Leave Delhi by 7 AM to avoid traffic. Stop at Sikandra on the way to see Akbar's Tomb. Check into your Agra hotel and visit Agra Fort in the late afternoon when sunlight bathes the red sandstone walls. As one visitor noted: "The morning drive from Delhi was smooth, but arriving at Agra Fort later let us avoid the worst midday heat while exploring the massive complex."

- Day 4
Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
Get to the Taj Mahal before sunrise (around 6 AM) to beat the crowds and see it in the best light. After breakfast drive to Jaipur but stop at the fascinating abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. Take the battery car from parking to the site. Spend about 2 hours exploring before continuing to Jaipur. You'll reach the city by evening after the 240 km journey that takes roughly 5 hours plus stops.

- Day 5
Jaipur
Start with an elephant ride up to Amber Fort. Book this ahead since spots fill up quickly. Explore the fort's mirrors and painted halls early. A past visitor suggests: "Request an elephant ride no later than 7:30 AM—it gets incredibly hot and crowded by mid-morning." Visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar observatory in the afternoon. Finish your day taking sunset photos at Hawa Mahal.

- Day 6
Jaipur to Delhi (275 km/5.5 hours)
- Day 7
Delhi Departure
7 Day India's Golden Triangle Itinerary, incl. Delhi and Jaipur
The 7-day adventure across Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur costs approx. $150 per day. Visit Delhi's Raj Ghat memorial, marvel at Agra's Taj Mahal and Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb, then discover Jaipur's City Palace and spot leopards in Jhalana, with stops at ancient stepwells.

- Days 1-2
Delhi
Start your Golden Triangle trip in Delhi. Use your first afternoon to settle in. On day two explore Old and New Delhi. Get to Jama Masjid by 8:30 AM to avoid peak crowds. Visit Raj Ghat and Qutub Minar before the afternoon heat sets in. "The local guides were excellent at explaining the rich history while keeping us on schedule through Delhi's busy streets." You'll need slip-on shoes since you'll take them off often at religious sites.

- Day 3
Agra and Taj Mahal
The drive to Agra takes 4 hours. Go straight to the Taj Mahal for sunrise views. Get there by 6 AM to avoid tour groups. "Watching the sunrise at the Taj Mahal was more spectacular than we imagined. To be honest, you have to be open-minded about the crowds, but the early start makes it worthwhile." Visit Agra Fort after lunch. Make time for the beautiful but less crowded Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb. Watch the sunset over the Taj from Mehtab Bagh gardens.

- Days 4-5
Jaipur
The 5-hour drive to Jaipur includes important stops at Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri Stepwell. Start day 5 early at Amber Fort. Take the jeep up instead of riding elephants. "The Amber Fort guide Mukesh was brilliant, teaching us about the architecture while finding quiet corners away from crowds." See the City Palace and Jantar Mantar observatory in the afternoon. Visit Hawa Mahal later when the light is perfect for photos.

- Day 6
Leopard Safari and Return to Delhi

What people love about 7-day Golden Triangle tours
- India Golden Triangle Tour
Our Golden Triangle trip was perfect. Rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk was fun and chaotic in the best way. Agra’s Taj Mahal at sunrise was magical. Jaipur’s Amber Fort, City Palace, and bazaars were lively and colorful. Hotels were clean and comfortable. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. True taste of India in just a week.
- India's Luxury Golden Triangle with Leopard Safari & Sunrise Taj Mahal
I was debating if I should put 2 or 5 for my tour to India and opted for 4. The reason – I did not get to leopard safari and that safari was the main reason why I chose this tour over some more reliable - and cheaper - ones. I was told the day before safari that it was overbooked for two days that I was in Jaipur, and no substitutes have been provided (and those should be, leopard safari is advertised in the tour’s name!). Before booking, I read about some leopard safari issues in other tourists’ responses and hoped that it was resolved but… Other than that: I felt secure, hotels are good if you are OK with Indian food, some guides (there will be a different one in every city) are OK and some are very good – Nitin in Agra and especially Krishan Paliwal in Jaipur. The good guide is always a treasure of the tour! The driver was OK as a driver but his limited English sometimes left me silent for hours of driving between cities. Also be prepared that almost all attractions that you are going to visit will be additionally charged
