Piedmont Tours & Trips
Italy is about more than Rome, as Piedmont proves! This region means wine and truffles in northwest Italy away from tourist hordes. Take a Barolo walk through wine villages and vineyards, try white truffles sampling and world-famous wines. Visit Lakes Orta and Maggiore, medieval villages, and ancient hamlets. Piedmont beats Tuscany for wine serious enthusiasts; it’s less touristy, and more authentic.

Our local contacts Paul and Phaedra were exceptional going out of their way to assist us with matters that were nothing to do with tour. They always arrived exactly on time and were cheerful and informative on transport us to the start of our walks. As this was our first tour run by Headwater I was a bit skeptical concerning the quality of the restaurants and our ability to order freely off the menu as all dinners were included, the dinners definitely exceeded my expectations as they were superb.
