Everything was well coordinated the drivers and guide Sandra were terrific. I would have liked more time tough to walk the lower trail see the bird park and even Iguazú town. But the falls were spectacular!

Best tour companies for Iguazu/Iguassu Falls tours
Looking at these tour companies in detail, Intrepid comes out strong in a few key areas - their local guides really know their stuff and the company has built solid relationships with communities along their routes. The tours run smoothly, which our travelers consistently mention in their feedback. Say Hueque takes a more tailored approach, working with each traveler to build custom itineraries. Their team stays in good contact throughout the planning process and during the actual trip. This personal touch makes a real difference when you're trying to plan something specific to your interests. TourRadar has hit some bumps with their third-party setup - quite a few customers mentioned issues with airport pickups not showing up as planned, and getting answers about problems took longer since messages had to go through multiple channels. The Iguazu Falls experience itself is clearly worth it though. While some hotels in the area could use updates according to recent visitors, the boat ride that takes you right under the cascading water emerged as a highlight that pretty much everyone loved. You get properly soaked but that's part of what makes it fun and memorable.

Best places to start your Iguazu/Iguassu Falls tour
Most people kick off their Iguazu trip from Buenos Aires - about 27 of our recent travelers started there. Puerto Iguazu and Rio de Janeiro are tied for second choice with 19 travelers each and also Foz do Iguacu sees about 12 departures. Looking at our booking patterns, you'll want to lock in your tour roughly 2.5 months ahead (that's 77 days) especially since the top-rated options tend to fill quickly. This timing also helps you grab better hotel choices, which can make a real difference in your experience. March-April or August-September hit the sweet spot - you still get impressive water flow but with fewer people and nicer temperatures. Devil's Throat tends to quiet down late afternoon, while the Argentine side's upper and lower trails show their best face in morning light. Two full days works perfectly for most people, with your first morning best spent exploring the extensive Argentine walkways.
