Overall, the tour was good. The hotels were nice and the service that we received from the tour operator was great and very responsive. We had very good guides who were knowledgeable. Our only real issue was trying to get the Kansai pass QR code. The website where the code is generated is confusing and you MUST have internet access at the train station to use the code, a photo of the code is not acceptable. Only one of us had internet access so we had to find free wifi before we could board the train. That was the only bad experience, but it was frustrating.
Japan - Unveiled Beyond the SurfaceCharlotte ("Charlie") was an outstanding Tour Leader and made our 4-day Tokyo tour an unforgettable experience. Her knowledge of Tokyo, its culture, history, and local customs really enhanced the trip, and she was always happy to answer questions and share recommendations. Charlie consistently ensured everyone in the group was safe, comfortable, and enjoying themselves. She regularly checked in to make sure we were all okay and was quick to help if anyone needed assistance. Her friendly, organised, and approachable nature made travelling around Tokyo easy and stress-free. Although it was only a short 4-day snapshot of Tokyo, Charlie made every moment count. Her enthusiasm and professionalism created a fantastic group atmosphere and made the experience both enjoyable and memorable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone travelling with TourRadar.
