My wife and I had a wonderful vacation on Odynovo's 18-day SE Asia tour of Bangkok, Siem Reap and Vietnam. This was our first tour with Odynovo and really didn't have any personal references or experiences. However, it was difficult to ignore the high customer satisfaction and ratings. The trip and Odynovo's guides exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional, and the accommodations were all 5 stars. All five guides were exceptional...extremely knowledgeable about the sites, culture and history. They all were willing to share their personal stories about their lives --their childhoods, culture, beliefs, religion and current family lives. They were all well versed in the long history of this region and communicated it well (especially with fairly recent conflicts between this region and USA). All the guides are right there when you get off the plane and stay with you until you reach airport security when leaving. The Odynovo guides were willing to be flexible in the tour and customize it as they learned more about interests. We wanted to see and experience it all, so we had many long days including sunrise at Angkor Wat, and a late-night egg coffee in the old section of Hanoi. A special thanks and "shout out" to two exceptional guides. Mr Bui Anh Tuan was our guide in Hue, Hoi An and Danang and provided us great service and shared his knowledge of the central part of Vietnam. We were lucky to have him share his personal history and the interesting history of this region. Also, our guide in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, Mr Hoang Khac Thanh, was a first-rate guide. His knowledge was exceptional and was willing to do anything to make our visit memorable. He guided us through the historic district of Hanoi and led us to some fantastic street food (best of our trip). We topped the night off with egg coffee at the home of this delicious coffee. All the pre-arranged "prefixe" lunches were wonderful and allowed us to try many local dishes (the guides share the local relevance of the dishes). The restaurants were very nice with a few of them being "magical". However, the amount of food is over-the-top (6-8 courses) and we always felt bad as we left lunch with more food remaining than what we ate. Although we almost always arrange our own vacation (this is the first tour we have taken), we will definitely look at Odynovo in the future as this was a 5-star experience and made it very easy
