This was a very good small group tour. The small size of 15 allowed everyone to get to know each other, which added enjoyment to our week. Unfortunately, we got off to a rocky start as the bus broke down before it even got to pick us up on day one. The tour company apologized for the delay by way of buying dinner for our group that night, which everyone appreciated. Even more unfortunately, our substitute bus didn’t have a functioning microphone. This is my only criticism of this tour. Those of us in the back half of the bus missed out on a lot of stories & conversation with our driver/guide Jimmy. Jimmy was full of information & entertainment and everyone loved him. He really added to the trip and his recommendations for restaurants, pubs and music never failed. The tour covered so much. Castles, gardens, farms, monasteries, quaint towns, a distillery, the oldest pub in the country and great food and music. Very happy my friends and I signed up for this tour.

6-Day Magical Southern Explorer Small Group TourWOW! From Castles to Gardens to the Wild Atlantic—this was the BEST 11days/10 nights tour of Ireland I could have imagined!! Our group of five began in Dublin and headed southwest to Kinsale. Our coach-bus driver (Lee) was a “walking encyclopedia.” His knowledge and passion for his native country exuded with joy, love and humor of the Irish people. The following morning, we were on our way the to the Blarney Castle. Lee made sure we arrived early to avoid the long lines for Kissing the Blarney Stone. His attention to every detail was magnificent! When we took the ferry to the Aran islands, he delivered us early enough to board and sit on the side w/the best view! The walking tours were wonderful with guides that Lee had researched for their knowledge and presentation. The group photos, the pubs and restaurants were all suggested by our fantastic host/driver. Did I mention… he picked up our bags from our bedroom doors each morning to load the bus while we ate our nourishing “Irish Breakfast.” Shortly after departures, He made pitstops for “toilettes and snacks.” Every detail was above and beyond expectations. I will only travel again with Irish Experience Tours!!!
