You'll get your camera ready for the UNESCO Meteora monasteries sitting on top of huge rock formations around Kalabaka, then head to Santorini where Oia's blue-domed churches make great shots against white buildings. After that, Turkey's ancient Ephesus ruins are worth framing.

Capture the Acropolis and Parthenon from Mars Hill in Athens, photograph the sandstone pinnacles of UNESCO-listed Meteora with its 6 historic monasteries, and frame Santorini's volcanic caldera from Oia's clifftop vantage point. You'll document the ancient ruins of UNESCO-protected Ephesus including the great theater and Agora, shoot the whitewashed windmills and chapels of Mykonos, and photograph Byzantine frescoes inside Meteora's monasteries. Photograph the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Rhodes with its medieval Knights' fortress and Byzantine architecture blending Greek, Roman, and Ottoman influences. Capture the lunar landscapes of Cappadocia's Göreme Valley, with fairy chimneys and rock-cut churches dating to the 7th century. Frame shots of the Süleymaniye Mosque's grand courtyards and the Sultan's wooden palaces lining the Bosphorus in Istanbul.

You'll photograph the 13th-century Panagia Kera Church's frescoes in Kritsa and get shots of Lindos Acropolis with the blue Aegean Sea behind it. Frame photos of Rhodes' medieval walled city showing Byzantine, Ottoman, and Venetian styles, then ride Fira's cable car down and capture Oia's white streets.
