Full of Greece Experience & Balkans - Small Group TourWe recently participated in an 8-day tour of Balkan countries. The trip was excellent. In addition to beautiful countryside and friendly people in every country we spent time in, our guide, Endri, was one of the best we have ever experienced in our many travels. He shared an in-depth knowledge of each of the countries we visited, and he was extremely customer-focused throughout the trip. He made our trip a delight! Because we were in our 70’s, the company was very amenable to arranging transportation to and from pick-up points, which we really appreciated. The only thing that surprised us during the whole trip was the amount of car travel there was each day. It would have been nice to know up-front that some days required over 3.5 hours of travel, which limited the number of things we were able to see. Overall, however, we highly recommend this trip for anyone interested in learning more about the Balkans, and we also highly recommend Endri as our guide.
Dubrovnik to Tirana; Semi – Private Tour with Dedicated Tour Leader & CarTime flies. 60 years ago, I learned the names Tito and Yugoslavia from my primary school headmaster, and Albania, then a friendly country with the communist China, during the Cultural Revolution era, The names of the Bulkans Peninsula, Serbia, Bosina, Kosovo etc appeared in the TV screen of Hong Kong in the far east during the subsequent years of Yugoslavia disintegration. Now, for 28 days, I travelled in the Balkans to see for myself where history unfolded, the dramatic scenery, the friendly people, the arts, cultures. My friend and I are very glad that we had travelled with a reputable travel agency Choose Balkans which made our trip safe, comprehensive, and memorable. Special thanks to their driver guides Ana and Geti, who are extremely safe drivers with a good balance between safety and speed. I got my driving licence since 1986 but I don't think I can make it up to the safety standard of them. The roads in the Balkans are too far challenging. Safety in roads and in the tourist destinations is our utmost priority and we made it. With a private tour, we can reach many tourist destinations (UNESCO sites and popular sites) easily and thanks to their excellent local contacts and knowledge, we were able to reach the destinations with minimum walking distance (we are seniors!) Mission accomplished and thanks to each tour guides without whom we cannot feel at ease at all times.
