Liked accomodation, which was well organised. Our tour guide Stephan was great, informative, helpful with any issue or questions we had. Also had some fun cultural conversation on the bus at times when we participated. Some good times with the other people on tour. Driver very good and drove safely at all times. Some days it would have been good to know the duration of the driving as the itinerary didn’t state how many hours each day we’d be on the road.

In May I took the Balkan Essentials 7 Days Tour (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia). Coming from Canada, I arrived in Belgrade, Serbia several days ahead of the tour to overcome jet lag; a good decision so I would be ready to start the tour well-rested. The tour was really amazing! Although it was short, it was filled with everything I wanted to see. And it was done at a good pace. There is so much beauty in the countries I visited and I hope one day to return. All the hotels in which I stayed were very good. The hotel breakfasts were excellent. Don't miss out on the great variety offered. Balkan breakfasts fill you up for the entire day! My guide, Veljko, was professional, knowledgeable, organized, and a nice man. I'm pleased he was my guide/driver. As I was the only person on the tour, at first I was a bit nervous - but that quickly passed the moment I met him. Communications from the tour company pre- and post-tour were excellent. Hvala/Thank you to everyone from the agency; the trip was very special!

Time flies. 60 years ago, I learned the names Tito and Yugoslavia from my primary school headmaster, and Albania, then a friendly country with the communist China, during the Cultural Revolution era, The names of the Bulkans Peninsula, Serbia, Bosina, Kosovo etc appeared in the TV screen of Hong Kong in the far east during the subsequent years of Yugoslavia disintegration. Now, for 28 days, I travelled in the Balkans to see for myself where history unfolded, the dramatic scenery, the friendly people, the arts, cultures. My friend and I are very glad that we had travelled with a reputable travel agency Choose Balkans which made our trip safe, comprehensive, and memorable. Special thanks to their driver guides Ana and Geti, who are extremely safe drivers with a good balance between safety and speed. I got my driving licence since 1986 but I don't think I can make it up to the safety standard of them. The roads in the Balkans are too far challenging. Safety in roads and in the tourist destinations is our utmost priority and we made it. With a private tour, we can reach many tourist destinations (UNESCO sites and popular sites) easily and thanks to their excellent local contacts and knowledge, we were able to reach the destinations with minimum walking distance (we are seniors!) Mission accomplished and thanks to each tour guides without whom we cannot feel at ease at all times.
