This is our second time with Eskapas and the trip was great! We had an amazing time! Everything went so smoothly. I loved the rich history of Spain, Portugal and Morocco; so interesting to learn of the melding of cultures and religions. The architecture and the landscape were spectacular! Hotels were OK, food&wine was great and our local guides Roberto and Maslam were amazing. We definitely had a great time.

It was a very interesting tour with lots of information and happiness. It tried to cover most of the important places and really enjoyed. Negative side was, Europamundo has not picked us from the airport to hotel and asked us to go by a taxi.

Beware. Although the tour starts in Lisbon, it takes you to zero Portuguese sites. Beware fancy galleries in Fez. The guide takes you there and it is very hard to get out without buying something expensive. The cities are great. Morocco is amazing. The Spanish overall guides were great, particularly Inez and Javier, but the local city guides varied a lot. Hotels were universally good, sometimes excellent. Going across on the ferry was cool. The food was mostly quite good, but there were a few bad meals. There were a lot of optional things, which were not included. In Ronda, even the local tour was not included.

Best time to visit Morocco and Spain
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Morocco and Spain come alive differently in winter, when you can explore cultural sites without the usual crowds. Our most popular combined tours stretch across 18-20 days, giving you time to properly absorb both destinations. In Madrid, you'll discover the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and grand plazas before your journey continues south through Andalusia's historic treasures. TourRadar customers tell us they appreciate how the winter schedule opens up more time at places like Granada's Alhambra, Cordoba's Mosque-Cathedral, and the atmospheric riads of Fez. The winter itineraries flow naturally - mornings are spent wandering Morocco's medinas in comfortable temperatures, while afternoons transition to traditional hammams or deep dives into spice trading at covered souks. Even crossing continents feels more dramatic in winter, as ferries cut through the misty Strait of Gibraltar on their way to Tangier's whitewashed old town and imperial cities. Many tours feature nights in the Sahara Desert, where winter delivers crystal-clear skies for stargazing from your camp, following an evening camel trek across the dunes.

- Spring 2026
March through May brings perfect conditions for our longer Spain and Morocco tours that run 18-22 days. You'll catch the spring wildflowers across Andalusia's White Villages and see Morocco before it gets too hot. Our travelers tell us how much they love exploring Ronda during this season - walking the dramatic gorge paths and meeting local olive oil producers while everything's lush and green. The Porto and Coimbra cultural routes work really well now too. You'll find the university areas full of energy, plus the wine cellars make excellent stops when spring showers pop up. The routes including Granada's Alhambra are especially popular; customers say you haven't really seen the Generalife Gardens until you've visited in spring bloom.

- Summer 2026
Summer calls for smartly balanced routes mixing cities, coast and mountains. Our 18-day itineraries include well-timed stops along Costa del Sol and up in Morocco's Atlas Mountains where higher elevations keep temperatures pleasant. We schedule Marrakech medina walks and Fez souk explorations early in the day - something our customers really appreciate when it heats up. You'll get extra time at Nazaré's beaches in Portugal and visit Chefchaouen's blue streets right at sunset when the light makes for great photos. The routes offer flexible day trips to Sintra's palaces, Toledo's historic center and other spots so you can adjust based on the weather and your energy levels.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
The Spain and Morocco tours hit their stride during March through May, running 18-22 days to showcase both regions at their peak. Our travelers often tell us about the springtime wildflowers dotting Andalusia's White Villages, and especially love discovering Ronda when it's green and vibrant - exploring dramatic gorge paths and connecting with local olive oil makers. Porto and Coimbra's cultural segments shine in autumn, as university districts come alive while wine cellars provide perfect refuge from occasional spring rain. TourRadar customers frequently mention how the Generalife Gardens at Granada's Alhambra transform with spring blooms. The routes thoughtfully combine city, coast and mountain visits, with early morning walks through Marrakech's medinas and evening stops at Chefchaouen's blue-washed streets when the light creates perfect photo opportunities. Many guests choose itineraries with flexible day excursions to Sintra's palaces, Toledo's historic core and additional landmarks, which lets us adapt to seasonal weather.
