Very pleased with the itinerary and the trip in general! Our guide Rodriguez was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in Azoris Royal Garden, very clean, comfortable, great location, breakfasts were fantastic! Daily pickups for island tours from the hotel were always on time. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go whale watching, cancelled due to stormy weather, but the company reached out, and we received full refund for the cancelled portion of the trip. Can’t wait to return in the future!
Best of the Azores: 7 days in São MiguelFantastic trip! Each island is gorgeous in its own way. Our guide,Tania, knows the islands and all the trails and restaurants like the back of her hand. She led our group with kindness and humor. And our fellow travelers couldn’t have been more fun. The Explore staff is also very supportive and easy to work with.
Walking in the AzoresGreat tour to see the Island quickly. Hotel Turim Santa Maria in Funchal was excellent - large, well equipped rooms, 5mins walk from the market and near old town area for restaurants. Excursions were well paced, transported in mini-bus with informative guide/driver. Levada walk well worth doing. Agent handled everything efficiently and responded quickly to messages. A very enjoyable and memorable experience.
