Fantastic! The organization and information received before the tour was detailed and we largely followed the provided itinerary. Each day we were greeted with timely drivers and focused on enjoying the experience. We had a few specific needs; they were quickly addressed and updated by the tour coordinator. We were joined by two others for a total of four. Vans were tall and spacious. It made for comfortable rides, particularly the long eight hour drive from Cappadocia to Sanlifura. Our driver, Ramazan was thoughtful and always had cold water or fresh fruit to meet the hot days. We really enjoyed Mt Nemrut and Gobeleki Teppe. The guides were carefully chosen and added depth to the experience. The lodging choices were beautiful, aside from one issue (Harran Hotel) in Sanlifura—don’t recommend. The rest reflected the spirit of the area. The MDC hotel in Cappadocia was phenomenal, offering a unique stay. The Mansion hotel in Mardin was similarly set in a castle-like setting. We enjoying exploring the towns by walking around in our free time. We highly recommend Turkey Escapades for this trip. Their proactive approach and responsiveness made our journey very enjoyable.

Wonderfully organized! If there were hiccups they were very promptly resolved The hiccup was in an optional tour of Istanbul, where one ticket was missing. It had nothing to do with the 6 day tour which was very well organized The operator kept in touch regularly and was very helpful If you are looking to see ancient sites, I will highly recommend this tour

The tour operator, Umut Kurt from Guide of Ephesus, communicated well, providing reminders and updates for things I needed to do in plenty of time. I ask a lot of questions, and Umut always responded quickly. We had three guides: Sabri Şahin for 5 days in the east, Bünyamin Kavak for Sultanahmet, Ayasofya, and Topkapı Saray on Monday, and Imran for Bosphorus boat ride and Spıce Bazaar on Tuesday. Each was knowledgeable and professional, but Sabri deserves special mention. It seemed like everywhere we went, other guides, restaurant owners, and more recognized him. All said we had gotten the best guide for the entire area. I agree. Sabri was not only knowledgeable, but he improvised things to do based on our interests and the weather. We feel that we have made a lasting friendship with him. In 60+ years of international travel, this was the first time I have ever taken an organized tour. The experience was very good, if somewhat exhausting, as we had a great deal to cover on every day of the tour. Umut did a great job of keeping us informed so there were no surprises.
