Torres del Paine National Park Tours & Trips
Trekking in Chile’s Torres del Paine's is a crown jewel experience. Take in Las Torres turquoise lagoon, Cuernos, French Valley, Paine Grande mountain, and a ferry across Lake Pehoé. You’ll need between five to six days to see it properly, enjoying glacier boat trips, and witnessing Beagle Channel. Torres needs decent fitness because trails are long, the weather is unpredictable, and winds brutal. But is it worth it? Totally.

One of the best tours of my life! Everything was perfect! Before going, Marilda, the Tour agent, addressed my questions and adapted the tour to suit my needs. The guides, especially JP, were knowledgeable about the region's geography and history. The meals provided in the tour were excellent (the places we stopped for lunch, and even the box meal). And the landscape….Torres del Paine is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! Highly recommend this tour!

We had great time on this tour. Recommend to everyone but few thing I want to mention. Tour companie had good response but little confusion for not being English as first language. Also they supposed to send information for W-Treck few days before but I have to send urgent email to get information and vouchers. One more thing is bus vouchers is all in Spanish. If that is come with English will be more helpful. At the end tour was smooth and we had good weather had blast hiking Patagonia. Thank you for tourradar and Hi travel !

Best time to visit Torres del Paine National Park
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter visits to Torres del Paine come with their own special charm - you'll often find yourself alone at viewpoints that are typically busy in peak season. The multi-day programs mix guided hikes with comfortable stays in Puerto Natales hotels, and our travelers tell us the winter winds are actually gentler than summer gusts. For those up for a real cold-weather expedition, the full circuit treks include winter camping with proper gear and guides who know exactly how to handle Patagonian winter conditions. If you prefer staying warm, some tours base you in cozy heated lodges where you can watch the snow-draped peaks through panoramic windows, while photography-focused trips help capture the winter wildlife and snow-covered landscapes.

- Spring 2026
Spring opens up some excellent self-guided options, particularly the W Trek packages that give you all the camping gear and detailed maps to explore independently. From October onwards, you'll catch the notro trees showing off their red blooms. There's a practical 8-day tour combining both Atacama Desert and Torres del Paine that works well with spring temperatures. The French Valley trails are particularly good this time of year - our guests regularly spot returning birds and fresh wildlife activity. Some clever itineraries start with stargazing in the Atacama before heading south, while others focus on Torres del Paine with some kayaking among spring icebergs on Grey Lake.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn brings fewer crowds and amazing colors as the lenga forests turn golden - it's actually when our photography-minded travelers get their best shots. The circuit tours keep running, and you've got better chances of spotting pumas in the quieter atmosphere. The 4-5 day programs mix hiking with glacier visits, letting you adjust plans around autumn weather. Some smart itineraries connect north to El Calafate, adding Perito Moreno Glacier to your Torres del Paine autumn experience. The full-circuit treks feel more remote this time of year, with plenty of quiet moments at viewpoints and on trails. Two solid choices stand out for Torres del Paine - Signature Tours and Patagonia Planet. Our travelers consistently tell us these companies really know what they're doing, especially when things don't go according to plan. They've handled everything from last-minute flight changes to medical situations smoothly and professionally. The guides make a big difference here. Laura, Mercedes and also Peter get lots of specific mentions for really knowing the park's trails, wildlife and local history. They're genuinely helpful and make sure everyone's comfortable with the pace. Just so you have the full picture - while most feedback is positive, a few travelers felt the 4-Day Discovery tour from Signature Tours was a bit expensive for what you get. There were also some communication challenges with guide Andre, whose English skills made it tough for some guests to follow along. Both companies are reliable choices, but I'd suggest looking at their longer tours rather than the 4-day option for better value. The guides' expertise and the companies' solid organization make a real difference when you're exploring somewhere as remote as Torres del Paine.

What's Torres del Paine National Park and what's the closest city?
You'll find Torres del Paine in Southern Chilean Patagonia it's a stunning place with incredible landscapes. Puerto Natales is your best bet for a base it's about 70 miles or 112 kilometers away and takes roughly 2 hours to drive to the park entrance.
How can I make the most of Torres del Paine if I'm short on time?
Five days is really ideal to see the highlights here. The W Trek is super popular and takes you past all the good stuff like those famous granite towers the French Valley and Grey Glacier. It's about 45 miles total and most people take 4-5 days to finish it. If you're tight on time there's lots of day trips available from scenic drives to boat tours out to Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers and shorter hikes too. The 4-Days Discovery tour is actually really good it includes a boat trip to the glaciers exploring these cool Milodon caves and a trek to Base Las Torres.
How do the W Trek and O Circuit compare what should I expect?
Both trails are amazing experiences honestly. The W Trek runs about 45 miles and takes 4-5 days it's moderately challenging but doable if you're reasonably fit. The O Circuit is more serious stuff it's an 80-mile loop around the Paine Massif taking 8-10 days and you'll need to be pretty fit with some backcountry experience. If you want the full experience the Full Circuit Patagonia tour is really worth checking out.
What are some hidden gems in Torres del Paine that most people miss?
Beyond the main trails there's this amazing Cerro Benitez Trek where you can explore prehistoric Patagonia with ancient cave paintings and incredible views of Eberhard Fjord and Señoret Channel. Kayaking the Serrano River rapids is another fantastic adventure if you're up for it. Our travelers always get excited about spotting pumas in the wild it's pretty rare and not something you'll find in most guidebooks. The Full Circuit Trek includes some really special experiences like camping under stars at Laguna Azul and kayaking near Grey Lake's icebergs.
How do I get around the park what transport options are available?
Regular buses run from Puerto Natales to the park entrance at Laguna Amarga and you've got these great catamarans crossing Lake Pehoe to reach different trailheads like Pudeto. There's shuttles running between different areas and campsites too. Definitely book the catamaran and shuttle services ahead especially in peak season. For the W-Trek Self Guided tour you'll need to catch the 2:30 pm bus from Puerto Natales it gets you to Laguna Amarga around 4:30 pm.
