the canyons were amazing each one different , , our guide was brilliant explaining what we would see, and how the rocks and canyons were formed, the optional extras were worth it, especially the helicopter through the Grand Canyon. The flight was brilliant and the grandeur of all the canyons breath taking, The trip was tiring as early starts of 6am /7am but could understand why that was necessary, an extra day in Durango would have been nice so we could of had a trip on the train,, maybe something to consider for future trips, We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it

Overall tour was good. One if the three Hotels chosen by Collete was sub par. No restaurant was open, only one cafeteria and place was mostly empty. I believe Hotel owners gave Collete a sweet deal to bring its business here which outweighs giving its customer the best possible Hotel experience. We also had our tour guide pull a quick one on us before our flight from Honolulu to another island. The group was told that everyone would be charged an extra 50 bucks to transport our luggage which would speed up the days travel. I believe everyone paid this, we did really didn't have a choice. Had scam written all over this. Extra 2 grand in tour guides pocket. Collette mgmt..if you read this you may want to look into this. Cory was your guides name.

What our customers ask about USA Family Tours
What are the best family-friendly national parks to visit in the USA?
Several national parks across the United States stand out for family adventures. Rocky Mountain National Park provides an accessible wilderness experience with the 48-mile Trail Ridge Road. Yellowstone draws families to its predictable geysers like Old Faithful and abundant wildlife viewing spots. Zion National Park features gentle trails suitable for all ages including the popular Emerald Pools route. "Great tour encompassing almost 1200 miles over 10 days seeing incredible sites" notes one TourRadar traveler about Rocky Mountain. Lodging ranges from the historic Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs to the traditional park lodges within Yellowstone itself.
What are the best seasons for family travel in different US regions?
Each region of the United States shines in different seasons. New England's fall colors peak from September through October. The Southwest's mild temperatures make March to May and September to November ideal for exploring. Hawaii maintains pleasant weather year-round with temperatures between 70-80°F. Summer months (June-August) work best for Yellowstone visits when trails are clear and wildlife active. One TourRadar traveler reports: "We enjoyed our autumn colors experience with amazing views throughout New England making it perfect for family photos and outdoor activities."
How are accommodations arranged for families on USA tours?
Tour accommodations cater to various family sizes and needs. Properties like the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville and Sheraton New Orleans offer family rooms and connecting options. National park properties such as The Ranch at Death Valley provide rooms designed for families with extra space. "The hotel stays were fantastic with plenty of space for our family and great locations near attractions" shares a TourRadar traveler.
What types of activities can families enjoy on USA tours?
The range of family activities spans educational to adventurous experiences. National parks offer ranger programs that teach about local wildlife and geology. Cultural stops include the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota which highlights Native American heritage. Outdoor activities range from scenic drives at Mount Rushmore to river walks in Zion National Park. A TourRadar traveler notes: "Beautiful scenery with lots of wonderful stops. The bus was very comfortable and our tour director and driver were both outstanding."
What meal arrangements are typically included on USA family tours?
Most tours balance included meals with independent dining options. Take the Hawaiian Discovery tour which provides 10 breakfasts 3 lunches and 4 dinners including traditional luaus. Restaurants on the route typically offer children's menus. One TourRadar traveler comments: "The food was excellent throughout the trip with great variety that appealed to both adults and children."
What should families pack for USA tours?
Packing requirements change with destinations and seasons. Essential items include walking shoes layered clothing and sun protection. Alaska tours need warm clothing and rain gear while Hawaii calls for swimwear and light clothing. The Alyeska Resort suggests specific gear lists for outdoor activities. A TourRadar traveler recommends: "Pack layers and good walking shoes - you'll be doing lots of exploring in various weather conditions."
