Thanos and crew were beyond compare. Best family vacation ever. Both my kids have said they cannot wait to go back and would do this tour again!
Family Greek Coast Caique CruiseFrom start to finish this tour was organised excellently with really great guides, both Tomas and George. Wonderful information and personal approach by both of them with years of experience. Both Delphi and the Meteoroa monasteries didn't disappoint and we certainly got a greater insight into the history of Greece. Fantastic!
Delphi and Meteora Two Days Tour from AthensWow, what an excellent four-day tour of Olympia, Delphi and Meteora. Our guide was knowledgeable in both the history of all the ruins and also provided mythical stories. She accompanied us around the museums and provided details of what we were looking at which was much appreciated. We were informed in advance when we would be stopping for breaks which is good since you are on the coach for long periods. The one drawback was for four days our guide was switching languages when sharing any information every couple of sentences (English/French) which got very confusing especially since there is so much information being shared. I personally would check in future to make sure a trip I was booking was in English only, I found I was tuning out after a while which was sad since Greece is so rich in history. Our bus driver Costa was magnificent as he drove some hair-raising twists and turns with such ease. Having read previous reviews, I did upgrade my hotels which I am glad I did, although the hotel in Delphi was disappointing, I had twin beds. One the bedsprings squeaked and the other the mattress was awful. The other two hotels were great and the food was good. Sitting outside having dinner at our first hotel watching the sunset was a wonderful ending to a busy day. My #1 bucket list trip to Meteora was not disappointing.

Greece's diverse landscape provides a natural playground for families. Children can follow in the footsteps of ancient athletes at Olympia's original Olympic track or climb to see the gravity-defying monasteries of Meteora. The Acropolis in Athens serves as an open-air classroom while Santorini's trio of colored beaches (black red and white) offers unique swimming spots. Boat tours around Santorini add extra excitement with hot spring dips and sunset viewing. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "Everything went perfectly and the guides were incredibly informative and entertaining. The tour was quite enjoyable for the whole family."
What are the recommended accommodations for families in Greece?
Family-focused accommodations in Greece range from city hotels to beachfront resorts. The Acropolian Spirit Hotel in Athens places families within walking distance of major sites while offering 4-star amenities. Santorini's El Greco Resort features multiple pools and dedicated family suites. The Adonis Hotel in Mykonos combines family rooms with sea views. As noted by a TourRadar traveler: "The hotels were all beautiful! We stayed at the Pelican Bay in Mykonos and El Greco Resort in Santorini. Both properties were perfect for families with great locations and helpful staff."
What's the best time of year to visit Greece with children?
The shoulder seasons of May-June and September-October provide the most comfortable conditions for families. Temperatures hover between 75-85°F with fewer tourists at popular sites. Spring brings pleasant conditions for exploring Athens' ancient ruins while fall offers warm water for swimming at beaches like Porto Katsiki in Lefkada. As one TourRadar traveler shared: "In May the weather was hot but perfect for exploring with kids - not too crowded at the main sites."
