Trip to Athens, Santorini and Crete We just returned from an incredible trip to Greece, visiting Athens, Santorini, and Crete, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, allowing us to see all the key highlights while still having time to enjoy each place. What really stood out was the level of support — the team checked in regularly, responded quickly to any questions, and made us feel fully taken care of every step of the way. It was a seamless, memorable journey from beginning to end.

All arrangements were made, it was pretty easy to get assistance. I would say the schedule, from a personal perspective, had 1 too many days in Mykonos.. the time in Santorini was too short.

What our customers ask about Greece Beach Tours
When is the best time to visit Greece's beaches?
The most favorable time for Greek beaches spans June through September with temperatures ranging from 25-30°C and water conditions perfect for swimming. The black sand beaches of Santorini reach peak warmth during July and August while Mykonos' Paradise Beach sees its best conditions from mid-June to early September. A TourRadar traveler noted "The weather was amazing and perfect for enjoying Mykonos' beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters." For those looking to avoid crowds May and October provide comfortable temperatures at popular locations like Perissa Beach in Santorini.
Which Greek islands offer the best beaches for different types of travelers?
The Greek islands present distinct coastal experiences for every type of visitor. Mykonos draws the party crowd to Paradise Beach while families gravitate toward Paros' Kolympithres Beach with its gentle waters and interesting granite formations. Photography enthusiasts find striking backdrops at Santorini's Red Beach and Black Beach. A TourRadar traveler shared about Ios: "The Best Beaches Tour covered seven different beaches each with its own character - from secluded coves to lively beach bars." Water sports enthusiasts often head to Naxos specifically Chrissi Akti Beach for its excellent windsurfing conditions.
What's included in typical beach tour packages to Greece?
Standard Greek beach packages cover beachfront lodging at properties like Mykonos' Olia Hotel or Santorini's Belle Etoile Villas along with daily breakfast ferry transfers and select guided activities. Common inclusions feature experiences such as Santorini caldera sunset cruises and island beach-hopping excursions. According to a TourRadar traveler: "Our 8-day island hopping tour included fantastic beachfront accommodations all ferry transfers and an amazing sunset cruise with dinner on board while viewing Oia's famous coastline."
What are the must-visit beaches in Santorini?
Santorini's beaches reflect its volcanic origins. Red Beach near Akrotiri showcases crimson cliffs and dark sand while Perissa and Kamari beaches are known for their black volcanic sand and transparent waters. Perivolos attracts visitors with its water sports and beach clubs. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The variety of Santorini's beaches was incredible - from the unique red cliffs at Red Beach to the sophisticated beach clubs at Perivolos each offered something special." For those seeking isolation White Beach accessible only by boat provides a quieter setting.
How do I get between different beaches and islands in Greece?
Greek island connections rely mainly on ferry services including high-speed options between major destinations. Most beach tours cover ferry tickets and transfers from Athens' Piraeus port to islands such as Mykonos Santorini and Paros. Individual islands offer local bus services to major beaches plus vehicle rental options. A TourRadar traveler reported: "The ferry services between islands were very efficient and each island had good public transport to reach different beaches. Our hotel Belle Etoile Villas even offered shuttle services to nearby beaches."
Are there quiet, secluded beaches available for those seeking privacy?
Travelers can find numerous peaceful spots away from busy areas. Paros features hidden beaches like Glyfa and Monastiri while Santorini offers the secluded White Beach reachable only by boat. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The semi-private catamaran cruise took us to secluded bays in Santorini that were absolutely pristine." Tour packages often include visits to these lesser-known beaches with accommodations like Mathios Village providing easy access to quieter coastal spots.
