Excellent trip. Great guides, ok accommodations. I wish we would have been told about the change to the Rainbow Mountain hike earlier. If we had known that it had changed from 14 kilometers to a much shorter hike we would have done the 1 day Inca trail hike as well.

The itinerary was excellent, the hotels and transportation was first class and all the arrangements worked smoothly and to the plan. I can't think of any way it could have been improved. The combination of all the amazing activities ( biking, zipline, water rafting ) all were planned quite well. I had one of the best time of my life and all credit goes to Bamba experience for this. They really stood up to their words.
Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu 4D/3N (Biking, Zip-Line & Rafting) - J

The Jungle Trek was completely incredible. Arguably this is a better way to reach the Machu Picchu point and it’s nothing I could have imagined! There was mountain biking, rafting, zip lining it was a lot of fun. Every detail was taken care of. Fortunately the groups were small, so we were able to enjoy the trail in a better way. The other companies have more than 15 people so it’s less friendly. Our guide was top level. He is a kind person, also very funny! Thank you and keep up the great work!

What our customers ask about Jungle Trekking
What's the best time to go jungle trekking?
It really depends on where you're heading, but dry seasons usually give you the best experience. If you're going to the Peruvian Amazon, plan your trip between April and October when there's less rain. For Borneo's Kinabatangan area, the sweet spot is March through October. One of our travelers who did the Inca Jungle trek shared some good news: "this tour is at lower altitude, so even though February and March are rainy months, this adventure doesn't get affected by the rain."
How many hours will I hike each day?
Most days you'll be on the trail between 2 and 6 hours. In places like Ecuador's Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, you'll typically do a 3-hour morning walk through the rainforest, plus maybe a shorter 1 or 2-hour walk in the afternoon. The paths can be pretty different - some are flat and easy along rivers, while others climb up hillsides. Don't worry though - you'll make plenty of stops to look for animals and learn about the forest from your guide.
Where will I sleep during the trek?
Your sleeping spots can range from tent camping to nice eco-lodges. The Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion near Puerto Maldonado is a good example - it has 25 private cabanas in a huge nature reserve, complete with private bathrooms and mosquito nets. If you're heading somewhere more remote, like Jamu Lodge in Ecuador's Amazon, you'll stay in simpler but clean lodges that focus on being eco-friendly.
How fit do I need to be?
You'll want to be in decent shape since you'll spend about 4-6 hours a day walking through thick forest on uneven ground. In places like Amazonas Basin and Tambopata Reserve, you'll be dealing with humid weather and temperatures between 85-95°F (29-35°C). At Jamu Lodge in the Amazon, for example, you'll walk about 3 hours through the rainforest with your guide, who'll point out wildlife and teach you about plants used as medicine.
How can I get ready for the weather?
Get ready for hot and sticky conditions - temperatures usually run between 75-95°F (24-35°C), and the humidity hits 80-100%. From what our Amazon travelers tell us, drinking lots of water is key, and you'll want to take it easy during activities. As one traveler put it: "The humidity and heat makes the trek challenging, breaks at viewing points and natural pools provide welcome relief."
