Generally a good tour. A couple of hiccups but these were sorted quickly. The premium tour should have premium rooms and this was not clear. To the operas credit we did ed up with nice rooms. Pedro the guide in Santorini was excellent and well organized.

With this kind of tour where you basically just book the logistics of a trip (ferry, hotel, transfers, tour) and minimize stress during your trip, you expect to pay a certain fee for the service compared to the "actual" price. But you also expect in return to have a certain quality of service and curation of the guided tours you get and the hotels. Guided Tours : First one on Paros was nothing short of exceptional (as it reflects on its real price after looking online, around 180 euros pp). Second one on Naxos was very disappointing concerning the quality of service (it's basically a big overcrowded bus tour where you follow one group after another at each location aand that you could book yourself easily on arrival and that in reality cost 30 euros pp). Last one on Santorini was mostly good (around 100 euros pp after looking it up), the other guests were mostly the issue and we had a big transfer issue at the end. Hotels : Most of the hotels were good. For 3 stars that is. Second one in Naxos was in the middle of the busy city and very noisy however. Last one in Santorini was very good but be aware that you can be located far from the points of interest if you have little time on the island. Communication with Travel Zone was mostly very good, efficient and with a good answer time. We have had 2 issues towards the end. A transfer problem that was adressed and then refunded. A ferry ticketing issue that was not adressed as it is considered "out of their responsabilty". So in the end, I would advise you to book this tour if you get a good discount and if you realy don't have time to deal with logistics. Otherwise, taking the time to look up online and book yourself would come way cheaper. I expected a bit more value for my money but I am however happy I tried it once.

What our customers ask about Beach Tours & Trips
What are the best beach destinations typically included in beach tours?
You'll find tours heading to beautiful spots like the Greek Islands, where Mykonos and Santorini are favorites, and along Croatia's coast to places like Split and Dubrovnik. In Southeast Asia, tours often visit Bali and the Gili Islands in Indonesia, plus Palawan and Boracay in the Philippines. One of our favorite spots is the Gili Islands, where you can stay right on the beach at places like Sadev Resort. As one TourRadar traveler put it: "The white sand beaches and clear waters were perfect for snorkeling."
When is the best time of year to book a beach tour?
It really depends on where you're going. For Mediterranean beaches in Greece and Croatia, plan your trip between June and September when temperatures are a comfortable 75-85°F (24-29°C). If you're headed to Southeast Asia, like Bali or the Philippines, the best weather is from November to April, with temperatures around 80-85°F (27-29°C) and less rain. Want to avoid crowds? Try visiting in May or October when the weather's still nice but tourist spots are quieter.
What are the most popular beach destinations offered across these tours?
Thailand's islands are big favorites - places like Koh Phi Phi, Koh Tao, and Phuket. Sri Lanka has some gorgeous spots too, especially Pasikuda, Trincomalee and Negombo. In Bali, most tours stop at Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. One TourRadar traveler told us: "The beaches in Koh Tao were absolutely incredible, with crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling and swimming."
When is the best time to book a beach tour in Southeast Asia?
For Thailand's west coast around Phuket, November to April is perfect with temperatures between 75-89°F (24-32°C). If you're heading to the east coast near Koh Samui, May to October works better. Bali's beach weather is best from April to October, usually around 80-85°F (27-29°C). One of our TourRadar guides explained that while high season has the best beach conditions, you'll find fewer tourists if you visit just before or after peak season.
What are the best times to visit beaches in Thailand and Indonesia?
For Thailand's beaches, plan your trip between November and April when it's dry and temperatures stay between 75-85°F (24-29°C). If you're going to Indonesian spots like Bali or the Gili Islands, April through October is your best bet, with temperatures around 80-85°F (27-29°C). Places like the Phi Phi Islands and Canggu Beach are at their best during these months. One TourRadar traveler shared: "April had perfect beach weather with calm seas making it ideal for snorkeling trips and sunset boat rides."
What type of accommodations can I expect on beach tours?
You'll usually stay in beachfront resorts, smaller boutique hotels, or cozy bungalows. In Koh Phangan, for instance, you might stay at Sarana Bungalows right on the beach, while in Gili T, places like Hotel Vila Ombak put you just steps from the ocean. Most rooms are set up for two people with air conditioning, and many have ocean views. Here's what one TourRadar review said: "The beachfront bungalows were incredible - falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up to stunning sunrises."
