Six destinations reveal their charm over 8 days, from Path of the Gods trek to Positano to Capri boat rides. Hotel Due Torri in Bomerano serves as base while visiting Herculaneum ruins, Pompeii archaeological site, and Villa Cimbrone in Ravello.

- Day 1
Bomerano (Agerola)
- Day 2
Amalfi & Positano
Take a morning bus down to Amalfi, Italy's oldest maritime republic. Visit the cathedral and optional paper museum before a 20-minute boat ride to Positano. "Approaching Positano from the sea is breathtaking - the colorful buildings against the cliffs are unforgettable." Visit the cathedral in Amalfi before 11am to avoid the crowds.

- Day 3
Herculaneum & Pompeii
Spend a full day at these two incredible archaeological sites. Start with Herculaneum in the morning when it's quieter and cooler. "While Pompeii is larger, Herculaneum's ruins are better preserved - don't skip either site." The drive takes about an hour each way. You'll need sturdy shoes for the uneven ancient streets.

- Day 4
Path of the Gods
Walk the famous cliff-side path from Bomerano to Positano. "The Path of the Gods requires good hiking shoes and some scrambling over rocks in places." Stop to watch mozzarella being made at a local cheesemaker. The 4km walk has amazing coastal views but can be challenging. You can take the bus down to Positano if you want to skip the 1,700 steps.

8 Days in Amalfi Coast, incl. Bomerano and Positano
Over 8 days, guests hike Valle delle Ferriere reserve to secret waterfalls, visit UNESCO-listed Pompeii with expert guides, and climb Mount Vesuvius crater. Hotel Due Torri in Bomerano serves as base camp, offering authentic Campanian cuisine between 4-5 hour daily treks through 9 destinations.

- Day 1
Bomerano
Start your journey in quiet Bomerano away from the busy coast. Check into Hotel Due Torri where the Acampora family runs their welcoming establishment. One guest shared: "The hotel staff were like family making us feel at home from the moment we arrived." Take a walk around the village in the evening to get your bearings.

- Days 2-3
Monte Tre Calli & Amalfi Town
Begin with a circular hike up Monte Tre Calli for sweeping views of the coast and Capri Island. The next day walk down to Amalfi town on about 2,000 steps. Start by 8:30 AM to avoid the hot sun and bring hiking poles to protect your knees. After reaching Amalfi spend your afternoon exploring the Duomo or swimming in the Mediterranean.

- Day 4
Vesuvius & Pompeii
Take a morning transfer to Mount Vesuvius (90 minutes). Walk around the crater for unique views over Naples Bay. Consider booking the optional volcanologist tour to learn about the volcano. Head to Pompeii after lunch arriving around 2 PM when crowds thin out. Spend an extra €10 for a local guide to get the most from your visit.

- Day 5
Valle delle Ferriere
Start in Ravello with time to see Villa Cimbrone before hiking. The trail through Valle delle Ferriere Nature Reserve shows you a different side of the area. One visitor noted: "The moss-covered waterfalls and ancient paper mills made this my favorite day." Wear grippy shoes since paths near the waterfalls can be slick.

- Day 7
Path of the Gods
End your hiking with the famous Path of the Gods route to Positano. Leave early to beat the heat and crowds. You'll see incredible coastal views but some spots are quite exposed if you're afraid of heights. The walk down to Positano includes 1,700 steps. Reward yourself with a swim before taking the boat back to Amalfi when the service runs.

- Day 8
Departure
9 Days in Campania, incl. Naples and Amalfi Coast
The coastal route winds through 13 towns from Positano to Vietri sul Mare over 7 days. Private boats glide along Amalfi's limestone cliffs, hidden caves near Conca dei Marini reveal themselves, and charming villages like Maiori and Minori welcome visitors. Each day unfolds new coastal wonders.

- Day 1
Naples
Arrive at Naples Airport before noon to avoid traffic. Book a hotel in the historic center near Via Toledo for easy access to main attractions. Start exploring the UNESCO-listed centro storico and grab pizza at L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele around 3 PM to skip the lunch crowds. Pack comfortable walking shoes for the uneven cobblestone streets.

- Day 2
Ischia Day Trip
Take the 8 AM hydrofoil from Naples' Molo Beverello port to Ischia. The ride takes 45 minutes. Visit the thermal pools at Cartaromana Beach but bring water shoes for the slippery volcanic rocks. A recent visitor shared: "The natural thermal pools were incredibly relaxing, but arrive before 11 AM when tour groups start showing up."

- Day 3
Herculaneum & Vesuvius
Start at Herculaneum when it opens at 8:30 AM to beat the heat. The site is smaller and better preserved than Pompeii. Spend your afternoon visiting wineries on Mount Vesuvius where the volcanic soil creates unique Lacryma Christi wines. Pack a light jacket since it gets cooler at higher elevations.

- Day 4
Pompeii
Give yourself a full morning to explore Pompeii. Book a guide ahead of time since the site is huge and confusing to navigate alone. Bring plenty of water and sun protection as there's minimal shade. After lunch head to your Amalfi Coast accommodation. If you get motion sick sit in the front during the winding coastal drive.

- Days 5-6
Amalfi Coast
Stay in Praiano or Minori instead of busy Positano. Visit limoncello makers in the morning for the best photos of lemon groves. Join an evening cooking class to learn local pasta dishes when it's cooler. Use the SITA bus between towns to save money even though it's more adventurous than taking taxis.

- Day 7
Paestum & Mozzarella
- Day 8
Capri

What people love about 10-day Amalfi Coast tours
- Highlights of the Amalfi Coast
Severio was an amazing tour guide. He was full of knowledge about each area we visited. He quickly arranged transportation and day trips for us. Would definitely recommend this trip and Severio.
- Walking the Amalfi Coast
This was a wonderful walking holiday. Lots of steps down which caused some aching hips, quads, knees and calves but we persevered through. Ravello was our favourite city as less busy than the others. Wouldn’t advise Sorrento after Herculaneum as traffic busy, road slow, and just not enough time. Paulo was a fabulous guide. Great itinerary. Loved the mozzarella cheese making demonstration and cooking demo’s by our hotel chefs. The guided tour of Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii a highlight especially as those guides were also excellent. Really enjoyed staying in one hotel and could unpack for a week. The staff were very gracious and the food was excellent. The dining room is quite noisy as 3-4 Exodus groups staying there at once. Could only hear to visit with people next to you. However time to chat during activities and pre-dinner drinks. We were a group of 14 from Scotland, England, USA and Canada and a great group of people. Feel like we made new friends on this trip. Multiple departure times back to Naples that Paulo and the other guides helped organize taxis for. We went to the train station with another couple.
- Amalfi Coast Walking - Agriturismo
The guide, Gennaro Pisacane, was excellent and clearly loved what he does. He freely shared his knowledge of the places we hiked - a history lesson in motion. The itinerary was well thought out and Gennaro was knowledgeable and able to adapt to people’s abilities. The food at the agriturismo was excellent. And the hiking group itself was full of amazing people.
