Tour itself is excellent (interesting varied activities), especially for young active people. The wet lodge in itself is great, food was good as well. But the thing is you can book through the lodge directly and pay 30% less.

Pantanal stretches across western Brazil as the world's largest tropical wetland, extending into neighboring countries. Seasonal flooding creates an ecosystem that supports massive wildlife concentrations - jaguars, capybaras, caimans, and over 650 bird species thrive here. Wildlife lodges and ranch-style accommodations sit within the natural surroundings and serve as your base. Daily schedules include boat trips along rivers and channels, horseback rides across open plains, and wildlife drives at dawn and dusk when animals move around most. The flat, open landscape makes animal viewing significantly easier than dense forests, so you'll see more wildlife here than in other Brazilian regions. Accommodations range from comfortable lodges to traditional fazendas (ranch houses) that show you local cattle-ranching culture. Guides with years of field experience lead excursions, pointing out camouflaged creatures and explaining wetland ecology. Meals feature regional dishes with fresh fish from local waters. The dry season from May through October offers peak wildlife viewing since animals cluster around remaining water sources, though the wet season brings its own rewards with flooded plains and breeding birds.

Pantanal covers more area than any other tropical wetland on Earth, and this tour takes you to prime wildlife zones where jaguars, capybaras, caimans, and giant river otters show up regularly. Traditional fazenda lodges provide both comfort and direct wilderness access, with boat trips, horseback riding, and night safaris built into the itinerary. The open terrain makes spotting animals easier compared to the Amazon's dense forest. Expert guides track wildlife movements and share detailed knowledge about the wetland's unique ecology as you move through different habitats each day.

What our customers ask about Pantanal Tours & Trips
What's the best time to visit the Pantanal for wildlife viewing?
The dry season from July through October that's really when you'll get the best wildlife viewing in the Pantanal. The water levels drop which actually works in our favor because animals gather around the remaining water spots making them easier to spot. Our travelers keep telling us they see amazing wildlife during these months especially on the 8 Days Paraguay and Brazil tour where you can go on night safaris to spot jaguars ocelots and pumas.
Which areas of the Pantanal are best for seeing jaguars?
If you're keen on spotting jaguars Porto Jofre is your best bet it's right at the end of the Transpantaneira highway. The boat tours along the Cuiabá River system are fantastic for seeing these amazing cats in their natural habitat you can experience this on the Das Safariparadies intensiv erleben tour with Bernd Nill which is really popular with photographers.
How do I get to the Pantanal?
Getting there is pretty straightforward you can fly into Cuiabá Airport for the northern Pantanal or Campo Grande Airport if you're heading south. From there you've got options with internal flights private transfers and shuttle services to get to your lodge. The Pantanal Bonito & Iguazu Adventure starts with a 4-hour drive from Campo Grande to Buraco das Piranhas then it's just 40 minutes to your lodge in the wetlands.
