My entire trip in the Dolomites was GREAT! Denis our guide was friendly, engaging, helpful, and adaptive. He has excellent communication skills and emotional awareness. The hiking locations were great - I really feel that I saw the BEST of the Dolomites! The days were well planned and thought out. The hotel in Dobbiaco was nice, clean and was centrally convenient in the city center! Bravo!

Overall the tour was great. We had a total of 3 different guides, all of whom were knowledgeable and helpful and had a good command of the language. On the last day, there was a lot of travel time on major highways through areas that are not at all scenic but I don't think that could be helped since we had to get to our final destination. I would recommend this tour. It was fun, scenic, and informative.

The journey from Rome to Venice shows you everything from rolling hills to coastal towns and the high-speed trains make it super comfortable. The connections between Milan Florence and Venice are great too you get to see the countryside while traveling between the major cities. The Bernina Express takes about 2 hours to cross the Bernina Pass and ends in St Moritz which is this charming Swiss town.
What's the Best Way to Get Around Northern Italy?
The high-speed trains are really efficient for getting between the big cities like Milan Venice and Florence and they're super comfortable. The regular trains are great for reaching smaller towns and you've got ferry services on Como and Garda that let you see everything from the water. Local buses work well in cities and they're pretty cheap too. If you want more freedom rent a car but just remember parking can be tricky in bigger cities and traffic can get busy.
