Romantic Canada Trips & Honeymoon Packages
Couples tell us they love our premium mountain trips with their mix of upscale lodging and quiet moments in nature. The Rocky Mountaineer train journey creates shared memories as you wind through mountain passes in glass-domed cars, sharing good food while spotting wildlife together. Many pick tours staying at the grand Fairmont hotels, where mornings start with Lake Louise at sunrise and evenings end with private walks through ice-filled Maligne Canyon. The Northern Lights viewing sessions really shine - picture yourself sharing mulled wine by a warm fire while the sky dances overhead.

What people love about Canada Tours for Couples
- 6-Day Canadian Rockies Adventure Tour: Banff, Yoho, Kootenay & Lake Louise Highlights
The places we visited were great and gives us lifelong memories of the rocky mountains landscape and wants us go back. Little dissapointed with tour coordinators, Calgary Tours. They seem to cater for a group of people and have guides speaking dual languages with English their 2nd language. It was difficult to under the accents of tour guides and a bit was lost in translation. Overall the guides were very helpful though and the sites we visited were quite beautiful.
- Rockies Premium Tour from Vancouver
We highly recommend this tour. Absolutely do the 5 day, 4 nights. The itinerary has been well balanced to cover every aspect of the Rockies. Our guide Nigel and driver Charles were excellent. Our group was a great mix of nations adding to the overall experience. We were so pleased we chose a guided tour over a self drive. It was our first coach tour so we didn't know how we would go but we are already looking at the next guided coach tours. Don't go to Canada without doing this tour.
- Rockies Summer Classic Tour
Main reason for booking this tour - lots of stunning natural scenery in locations that aren't easily accessible by public transport. There's wall-to-wall picture postcard scenes. Areas for improvement: * The itinerary says "Free time to explore the quaint town of Revelstoke" which is misleading. The (unadvertised) scheduled arrival time in Revelstoke is 8pm. For the October departure this meant that the stop at the location of the Last Spike was after sunset, which made it difficult to see anything. It also means many of the restaurants in Revelstoke close just one hour after being dropped off at the hotel. * Itinerary mentioned 'option to go canoeing' but the guide didn't mention it on day 2. After walking down from the hike the guide recommended I noticed there was a canoe rental place, I don't know if that was supposed to be the option available? * The advertised included lunch on day 4 was switched for an included dinner in Banff on day 2. This meant for day 4 the lunch stop was at a shopping centre. There's plenty of eating options in Banff and we arrived in Banff earlier than in Revelstoke or Valemont, so it didn't seem the best night to arrange an included meal for us. * The stop in Jasper for dinner on day 3 was omitted due to the wild fire damage a few months back. Discover Canada still used the Comfort Inn in Valemount as the final night hotel. It's on a busy road on the edge of the town, so doesn't have many eating options nearby and the road layout doesn't make it particularly safe for walking into town in the dark. Given the brochure price was £632 and the single supplement averaged £82/night I would have expected Discover Canada to have gone to the effort of arranging an alternative option, rather than just missing out Jasper and leaving everything else the same. It's not like it's priced as a budget tour.
What our customers ask about Romantic Canada Trips & Honeymoon Packages
What are the most romantic destinations included in Canadian tours for couples?
You'll find amazing spots for couples throughout Canada, especially in the Rocky Mountains. Lake Louise is a real showstopper with its bright blue waters and mountain backdrop, and the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff National Park feels like staying in a castle. If you head east, Quebec City's Old Town feels just like Europe with its winding cobblestone streets. Over in Victoria, you can take hand-in-hand walks through the beautiful Butchart Gardens. One TourRadar traveler shared: "The Fairmont hotels were excellent and provided the perfect romantic atmosphere for our anniversary trip through the Rockies."
Where can couples find the best romantic dining in Canada?
Vancouver has some really special restaurants right on the water, and in Banff you can eat at Sky Bistro on top of Sulphur Mountain with incredible views below. The Empress Hotel in Victoria is famous for its fancy afternoon tea - it's a fun thing to do together. At Lake Louise, you can have dinner looking right at the glacier. One TourRadar traveler put it well: "The food was excellent and the locations for meals were always scenic and special."
When's the best time for couples to visit Canada?
If you want perfect weather and fewer tourists, plan your trip for September or October. The fall colors in Quebec and Ontario are beautiful then, and temperatures are comfortable at 50-65°F (10-18°C). For the Rocky Mountains, July and August are ideal for outdoor activities with temps around 65-75°F (18-24°C). Winter can be really cozy and romantic if you like skiing and mountain lodges, but it gets cold - down to about 5°F (-15°C).
What kind of dining experiences can couples have in Canada?
You'll find so many options across Canada. Quebec City has intimate French restaurants, Vancouver has great spots right on the water, and Halifax serves amazing fresh seafood in its historic district. You can go wine tasting in the Okanagan Valley or have dinner with a view at Toronto's CN Tower restaurant that slowly spins 360 degrees. One TourRadar traveler remembered: "the intimate dining experience at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise was a highlight of our romantic getaway."
What type of hotels can couples expect on Canadian tours?
Most tours include stays at really nice hotels that are perfect for couples. The Fairmont hotels are especially memorable - like the Chateau Lake Louise and Banff Springs Hotel. In Quebec City, you might stay at the Hotel Le Concorde with great city views, or in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle right on the water. As one TourRadar traveler said: "The Fairmont Banff Springs was like staying in a castle - absolutely perfect for our romantic getaway with incredible mountain views from our room."
What romantic activities are included in Canadian tours?
You'll get to do lots of special things together. Watch the sunset at Lake Louise, take an evening boat ride in Vancouver's harbor, explore the peaceful Butchart Gardens in Victoria, or have a fancy dinner at the famous Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. Many couples love taking the Rocky Mountaineer train through the mountains. One couple on TourRadar said "the panoramic views and luxury service made for an unforgettable experience together."
Which places in Canada are best for a romantic trip?
Banff National Park is really special with its blue lakes and mountain scenery. Quebec City feels like a slice of Europe with its old streets and French atmosphere. Victoria is lovely with its gardens and pretty harbor, and Niagara Falls is impressive any time of year. Most couples love staying at fancy hotels like the Fairmont Banff Springs or the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City. One TourRadar traveler said it best: "Quebec City felt like being in Europe - perfect for romantic evening strolls and intimate dinners."
