Australia/Oceania Tours for Solo Travelers
Our Australian intro tours have become favorites with solo travelers, especially those heading up the coast from Sydney. Customers tell us these week-long journeys build their confidence through activities like surfing at Byron Bay, paddleboarding through the mangroves at Surfers Paradise and also mastering local transport. The social side truly shines - travelers appreciate how we mix structured exploration with free time to connect, often forming close bonds during morning yoga where dolphins swim past, or at laid-back evening gatherings. Our guides Ben, James, Robbie and also Mark get special mentions for bringing groups together while helping with essentials like bank accounts or travel planning. These tours create a natural community: you're learning to surf with others at the same level, sharing stories over well-prepared camp dinners and typically making plans to travel Australia together once the tour wraps up. Through New Zealand's South Island routes, solo travelers value our comfortable WiFi-equipped buses and the freedom to pick their own activity levels each day.

What people love about touring Australia/Oceania solo
- Sydney to Cairns - 14 Day Boutique Tour
Having traveled to 50+ countries now, this tour was one of the most epic trips I've ever done. In fact, the dive and snorkeling day trip was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences of my life. Besides that though, the tour was a great mix of interesting excursions, like K'Gari and the Whitsundays, to epic coastal regions and beach towns like Byron Bay, an incredible visit to the Daintree Rainforest, and incredibly insightful and enriching visits with First Nations and aboriginal groups. The tour guides, Jason and Justin, were absolutely TOP!!! Looked after the group and filled us in on Australian history along the way. On one of the longer drive days, Justin had even organized a fun group trivia session which helped break up the drive. The hotels and holiday apartments were all comfortable and in-line with expectations - not 5* luxury but all well-appointed, clean, and local boutique style accommodations - some even had free laundry facilities which was a HUGE PLUS. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip!!
- Famous 5 - 5 day Tour of Tasmania
I did the 5-day tour of Tasmania! It was beautiful. Even though it was only a few days, I managed to see a lot. Our guide, Anthony, was fantastic. He explained many interesting things to us. I really liked the east coast, and in the west, I really loved Cradle Mountain! It's a wonderful country. We stayed in very nice and clean hostels; we were a great group. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.
- Walking in New Zealand
Vaughan Edmonds as a guide is excellent and knows his country very well. Pacing and just enough info on optional tours and hikes were great. Highly recommended
