Croatia and Slovenia Tours for Solo Travelers
Picture rowing a small boat out to the island church on Lake Bled, and wandering Ljubljana’s riverside cafés that evening. At Plitvice Lakes, wooden paths lead past waterfalls and turquoise pools. Down in Split, you can get lost in the stone lanes of Diocletian’s Palace before heading to the beach. The mix of lakes, towns, and sea keeps the days feeling fresh.

What people love about touring Croatia And Slovenia solo
- Croatia, Beauty of the Adriatic - A Small Group Journey
At first, I was a bit nervous about joining a group. We’ve traveled a lot in the past and always done it on our own. But taking into consideration how much work planning a trip is especially to a place we aren’t all that familiar with, we decided to join a group. Our only rule was it had to be small, no big bus, no large group. So when we found Sky Vacations and their small group we decided to go for it. From start to finish the trip was a delight. The hotels, meals, experiences and especially the guides were terrific. We literally had a better experience than when we plan a trip ourselves, because we didn’t have to do any of the work. Sky Vacations even helped us with booking our airfare, so it was really easy. Next we are thinking of their India trip.
- Small Group: Balkan Extended - Belgrade to Dubrovnik
Great tour of Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. More beautiful and interesting than I'd expected and so glad I went. Our tour guide, Marko, was friendly, helpful, a fount of information, and great company. We dealt with Zorica and Vladimir for planning and booking the trip and they were very communicative and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this trip, as well as Marko, Zorica, and Vladimir of Serbia Tour Operator.
- Small Group: Balkan Extended - Budapest to Dubrovnik
I just finished an amazing 15-day tour through the Balkans, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our guide, Goran. From start to finish, he made this trip so smooth and fun. I had flight delays and some stressful arrival issues, and Goran kept in touch the whole time, making sure I felt comfortable and got to the group without a problem. We were lucky to have a small group, and Goran was awesome at listening to what we all wanted and adjusting things so everyone had the best time possible. He knows so much about the culture and history in all the areas we visited, and his recommendations for food and things to do during free time were always spot on. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how welcome he made me feel. He went out of his way to take photos when I asked, explain the area so I felt confident exploring, and just made the whole experience feel easy and fun. Plus, Goran has a great sense of humor—our running “very nice” Borat impression became a theme of the trip and kept everyone laughing. I’d 100% recommend Goran as a guide and hope I get to do another tour with him someday. Very nice! Also Tour Radar was marvelous. They made booking easy. The itinerary was clear. They helped me book airport arrival and departure transfers. Customer service was available and effective when I needed them, especially in the beginning when I faced the flight issues. Thank you so much for helping me have a memorable trip I will talk about for years to come!
