7-Day Egypt Tour Packages
Picture yourself sailing the Nile past Luxor's temples, and standing before the pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. Imagine Karnak Temple's columns that go on forever, Valley of the Kings is where all those pharaohs were buried, and Egyptian Museum's treasures, including Tutankhamen’s gold mask. Cairo's bazaars are chaotic and brilliant for haggling, Aswan's quieter and more relaxed. Egypt in a week is fast-paced but amazing.

- Day 1
Cairo Arrival & Orientation
- Day 2
Giza Pyramids & Egyptian Museum
Start at 7 AM to avoid crowds and heat at the Giza pyramid complex. "Get to the pyramids first thing - by 10 AM the tour buses arrive and it gets extremely crowded." Take 2-3 hours to explore the pyramids and Sphinx. You can enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which stands 481 feet tall, but expect narrow steep passages. Visit the Egyptian Museum in the afternoon. One traveler notes: "Having an Egyptologist guide here is essential - there's minimal signage and the sheer volume of artifacts can be overwhelming without expert context."

- Day 3
Cairo to Aswan
Fly to Aswan in the morning (1.5 hours). Visit Philae Temple, which was saved from flooding during the Aswan Dam construction. Board your Nile cruise ship for lunch. You can take an optional trip to a Nubian village, but one cruiser suggests: "Skip the optional village tour if you're tired - it's mostly tourist shops. Instead, walk to Aswan's authentic local souk about 40 minutes from the dock."

- Day 4
Abu Simbel & Kom Ombo
Take the optional early morning trip to Abu Simbel. It's worth the 4 AM start to see these temples that were moved piece by piece in the 1960s. Return for a 5-hour cruise to Kom Ombo and visit its unique double temple. End the day with a traditional Galabeya party on board, featuring 60s-70s music and Arabian songs.

- Day 5
Edfu to Luxor
Visit Edfu's Temple of Horus in the morning. Sail to Luxor in the afternoon. See Luxor and Karnak Temples in the evening when they're lit up. A recent visitor notes: "The newly opened Avenue of Sphinxes between the temples is incredible at sunset, but bring good walking shoes as the path is long and uneven."

Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut

What people love about 7-day Egypt tours
- Queen Cleopatra - 7 days GEM visit- 5 stars accomodation
The tour gave a good taste of the main sights in Egypt. It is a heavy calendar and expect to be busy and not get a lot of down time. Remember that Egypt is currently filled with tourists so be patient with some delays Our guide Tamer was excellent helping with so many issues and requests and deserves 5 stars. Kind and lovely gentleman who was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Many American tourists are very difficult, argumentative and complain about any bump in the road and try to manage how things are going to be done. (I’m American). Enjoy the differences of the country you are in—be a traveler not a tourist. If you want American food and culture—stay in the USA. There were other nationalities in the group that wanted to be in control and continually interrupted while Tamer was explaining what the schedule was delaying Tamer ability to manage the narrative. For instance, Tamer would say you have an hour stop to take a shower and meet back at the bus. Then the person would say no I need 1 and a half hours to take a shower, etc. trying to set the schedule and run the show. This led to many issues with people not hearing the whole program and then asking continuing questions about what Tamer had said. Try wrangling a group of 40 or so tourists to be places on time and see how it feels. Our visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum was extraordinary and the Egyptologist was extremely well educated .People were upset that there were so many people there and we had to move quickly (because of the large crowds. Guide patiently explained that there were 6 floors of exhibition and we would concentrate on 1 main item on each floor. Of course people had not understood this and were upset that they didn’t get much time in the largest new museum in the world.
- Pyramids & Nile Cruise - Domestic Flights Included
The tour is well organized and complete, allowing you to see a lot in a short amount of time, which means some days are very long and nights are short, be ready! Before the tour: Communication with the company was ok, especially with Randa, who was very attentive and responded quickly. However, some information is only shared if you ask, such as baggage allowance for internal flights. Certain details, like flight times or excursion schedules, are sometimes told only a few hours before the event. Upon arrival: You will meet Mohamed, the general organizer, who explains the "optional expenses": Tips: $60 for drivers and boat staff (not including the main guides). Temple and museum entrance fees: $165 (fair, but not communicated early enough). "Optional" tours: roughly $400 more. If you decline, Mohamed may laugh or make you feel guilty, even though these tours essentially double the value of the trip. As a group of 8 adults we requested separate payments, which was also a problem. After that, communication with Mohamed became chaotic, and we had to call multiple times to get flight schedules - for a flight leaving 5 hours later. Positive highlights: The tour is fast-paced but takes you to the most beautiful, historic, and culturally rich sites. And our guides were exceptional: - Abdul in Giza and Cairo, an archaeologist passionate about his country and profession, shared all details patiently. -Omar helped organize and coordinate the group, always attentive to everyone’s needs. - Hamed Mostafa on the cruise was fantastic: knowledgeable egyptologist, cheerful, and attentive to each member of the group. He arranged visits at times with fewer crowds to make the most of each historic site. “Tutto sotto controllo!” Thank you and goodbye, Hamed! - Sadek and Ali picked us up and dropped us off at the airport with great humor and kindness. The cruise was very comfortable, the food delicious, and the terrace lovely. The cruise staff was friendly. Drinks were not included (around $3 per small bottle, you can buy water outside but you can not drink it in the restaurant). Points for improvement: -Communication about expenses and schedules could be more transparent and timely. -The general manager Mohamed could adopt a more friendly and less forceful approach. -First aid provisions on the cruise were insufficient; a guest cut herself and there were no proper supplies (no gauze or bandages). Despite these issues, we are very grateful for the professionalism and warmth of the guides and staff. The tour offers an unforgettable experience of Egypt’s incredible history and culture. I'll definitely recommend.
- Cairo & Nile Cruise Tours - Included Internal Flights
This tour was AMAZING and I would highly recommend to anyone. Medhat was so kind, informed, and took such good care of our tour. We felt safe and involved with him. He went above and beyond his tour guide duties to help us board and offload the ship, adjust schedule to our needs, fit in food and tickets. No matter what, he always made sure we had the full temple experience and gave us all the information. This was the best trip because of medhat!
