3-Day Argentina Tour Packages

Think you can sample Argentina in just three days? Extremely brief, so focus becomes essential. Head to Buenos Aires and see Recoleta Cemetery, La Boca's colorful Caminito, tango shows, steakhouses that redefine what beef can be, and a day trip to estancias or Tigre Delta. Or fly to Iguazú Falls for concentrated natural wonder. Three days barely scratches Argentina's surface but gives you essential first impressions and a definite appetite for more.

Start your day early at 8:00 AM to beat the heat and crowds. Begin with the Lower Circuit (Circuito Inferior), a 1.5-hour walk with up-close views of falls like Salto Bossetti. Take the ecological train to Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo) before 11 AM to avoid tour bus crowds. A recent visitor noted: "The views were impressive and we saw lots of wildlife, but watch out for the cheeky coatis trying to steal food." Brazilian Side of the Falls

Start your first day exploring the Brazilian side, which offers fantastic panoramic views. After arriving at Iguazu Airport, you'll need about 30 minutes to reach your hotel in Puerto Iguazu. Plan to visit the Brazilian National Park around mid-morning. Photos look best between 10 AM and 2 PM. The main walkway is about 1.2 km long, and you'll want 2-3 hours to really take it all in. "The Brazilian side gives you that jaw-dropping first impression—you really grasp the massive scale of the falls from here," according to one visitor. Visit the Floriano Fall viewpoint via the panoramic elevator early or late in the day to avoid crowds. The Bird Park (Parque das Aves) makes a great afternoon stop. It's right outside the falls entrance and features over 150 tropical bird species in walkthrough aviaries.

      Argentine Side of the Falls

Set aside a full day for the Argentine side, where you'll find 80% of the falls and get much closer to the water. Get an early start at the Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo). Take the first train at 8:30 AM before the crowds arrive. You'll walk 1.1 km over the river to reach this 80-meter waterfall. One recent visitor noted: "The power of the Devil's Throat is incredible—bring a waterproof phone case and expect to get a bit wet from the mist." After lunch, explore the Upper and Lower Circuits. The Upper Circuit stretches 1.7 km and gives you views from above, while the Lower Circuit runs 1.4 km and brings you right up to the cascades. Book the "Great Adventure" boat ride ahead of time. This exciting 6 km trip takes you close to the San Martín Fall. Pack quick-dry clothes and water shoes.
