What a amazing experience!!
5-Day 5-Star Nile Cruise from Cairo with Round-Trip FlightsAn absolutely fantastic experience! Our guides were great. Mansour was with us from Aswan to Luxor, taking us to the temples and different sites along the way, explaining the history of each site and its significance. He was also great at helping us navigate shopping and anything else we needed throughout that part of our trip. We were also lucky enough to have Bibo for our pyramids and Egyptian Museum tours, and then again for our GEM tour. He was a wealth of knowledge, and you could tell how passionate he is about Egypt’s history. It was a pleasure having him with us. And then there was John, who was always making sure we were taken care of with rides, hotels, and flights throughout our journey. If we had any concerns, he was on top of them. A huge thanks to him and both of our guides! The sites were amazing, and the rooms and meals arranged through TourRadar were great. They were long days, sometimes starting at 4 or 5 am and not getting dinner until 7:30 or even 8 pm. But there was so much to see, and getting out early meant we often arrived before the larger crowds. My only real criticism would be the breakfast boxes provided on those early mornings. They were terrible. Day-old buns with a slice of cheese or maybe a single slice of meat (never both on the same bun), a couple of pastries, a juice box, and an apple. My partner and I are quite health-conscious, and we struggled to eat much of what was provided. This was definitely one area that could use improvement, especially with how long and active the days were. Overall, though, the guides and the experience itself were so good that I couldn’t bring myself to give four stars instead of five. The only other thing I would have changed would be booking one more day in Hurghada. It’s a beautiful city, and it was really our only chance to relax and do absolutely nothing during the trip. The two great couples we toured with (who were also Canadian and great people) stayed an extra day, and I think they made the better decision by giving themselves one more day on the beach. An incredible trip, so much history, and memories we’ll have for a lifetime. I would absolutely recommend it, and suggest to do the add-ons, we did them all.
