I’m an extremely anxious traveler by nature and so when booking the trip I was worried about so much. So I’m glad to be able to say that despite my nature the tour went very well. The tour guides were very friendly and professional and they really took care of everything. I had nothing to worry about. The hotels we were booked into were of a very high standard and the bus drivers very efficient and kept us safe while transporting us around to our various destinations. Overall my experience was exceptional and it really was a vacation I will remember fondly forever, thanks to all who worked even in the background to help make our travel safe and enjoyable. I will definitely travel with the Tourradar group again.

The tour itself was great, a terrific learning experience. The fact that I was not informed that we were not travelling with Escapas but with Julia Travels, caused us anxiety and disappointment. We were collected from the train and transported to the hotel so that was encouraging. Arriving at our first accommodation, they had trouble finding our booking and had never heard of Escapas. They did not give me the envelope of information so when it came to the afternoon tour to Toledo we knew it was on but our notes did not give a time or the address of the meeting place. We had asked the morning tour guide for Madrid but she couldn't help, saying we had free time not a tour. After franticly trying to get the information through tour radar messaging and emailing and by ringing the phone numbers for Escapas(which did not answer) we missed Toledo which we had been looking forward to. That evening another couple returning from Toledo told us they had received an envelope of information from the hotel desk. After some time questioning staff, our envelope was found, and there was all the information needed. Julia Travels (or Escapas) had used my middle name as a surname. An annoying start.
My husband and I took this tour, and it is truly an excellent experience. The itinerary was well placed with excellent and professional communication from Marwa, our main contact from the STM. This allowed us enjoying the rich culture, architecture, and food of each city without feeling rushed and lost. From the historic Girona and Toledo in Spain to charming riverside and scenery beauty of Portugal, every destination offered something unique and captivating. The tours were well organized, the guides were knowledgeable, particularly the guide in Madrid. Also, the hotels are clean and comfortable, and breakfast was always included. The vehicles were clean and drivers were polite. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore some of the most beautiful and culturally rich cities in Spain and Portugal. It is the perfect balance of cultural, history, and relaxation.
