Budget Tours & Trips to Spain, Portugal And Morocco Reviews
- Spain, Portugal & Morocco
There were some hotels less than 4 star, overall we are happy.
- 18-Day Tour Portugal & Andalusia & Morocco
We were on a ENGLISH SPEAKING TOUR but we're placed on a SPANISH SPEAKING TOUR. Our guide with LIMITED ENGLISH would forget us 4 Canadians on tour, many details missed unfortunately for first 7 days.
- Highlights of Spain, Morocco and Portugal (2025, End End Madrid)
Fairly good tour but it would be nice to include some of the optional experiences to the tour. It costs too much for us.
What our customers ask about Budget Tours & Trips to Spain, Portugal and Morocco
What is the typical price range per day for budget tours in Spain, Portugal and Morocco?
Budget tours across these countries range from $164-216 per day covering accommodations some meals and guided activities. You'll stay in places like the Hotel Menzeh Zalagh in Fez or the Catalonia Santa Justa in Seville offering comfortable 3-star lodging within budget. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The hotels were all 4* and were clean and comfortable. A great way to see multiple destinations but not a lot of time could be spent in each place as a full itinerary."
What's included in the meal plan for budget tours through these countries?
The standard meal plan provides daily hotel breakfasts with additional dining during the Morocco portion of the trip. Take the 18-day tour package that includes "Daily breakfast 1 lunch and 3 dinners." Meals are served at hotels like the Tryp Atocha in Madrid. A TourRadar traveler shared: "Breakfasts were good but dinners were hit or miss. The dinner at the Casablanca hotel wasn't great but local restaurants were excellent."
What are some good budget-friendly areas to explore in Spain, Portugal and Morocco?
Look beyond the major tourist spots to find better value. Granada and Salamanca in Spain cost less than coastal cities. Portugal's Coimbra and Évora offer similar charm to Lisbon at lower prices. In Morocco Fez and the towns along the "Route of the Kasbahs" tend to be cheaper than Marrakesh. A TourRadar reviewer noted: "The inland cities like Granada and Fez were highlights - less touristy better prices and you really get to experience the local culture without breaking the bank."
When is the most affordable time to visit Spain, Portugal and Morocco?
Plan your trip between November and March for the best rates especially in Spain and Portugal where hotel prices can drop by 40% in January and February. Morocco bucks this trend with winter being peak season. A traveler's tip from TourRadar: "We went in February and got excellent rates though Morocco was quite busy. The weather was perfect for sightseeing in all three countries without the summer crowds." Remember that some attractions may operate on reduced schedules during off-season.
How much walking should I expect on budget tours through these countries?
Prepare for extensive walking particularly in historic areas and medinas. According to a TourRadar review: "Sometimes you'll be walking for the better part of a day. For example 17000 steps one day another day 14000 steps. And lots and lots of stairs. Most of the group was 65 years or older and many had a hard time on this tour that was rated 'easy'."
Are entrance fees to major attractions included in budget tour prices?
Your tour price typically covers entry to key sites like the Alhambra Palace Cordoba Mosque and Porto wine cellars. Extra activities such as Fado shows in Lisbon or Flamenco performances usually cost more. As shared by a TourRadar traveler: "The entrance fees to significant landmarks were included as part of the tour package which helped manage costs."
