Greece and Italy Family Tours
The 14-day family routes through Italy and Greece work really well for parents and kids. Our local guides in Rome tell stories that bring the Colosseum alive - kids love hearing about the gladiators and emperors while walking through the actual arena. Florence mixes history with fun hands-on activities; families join leather workshops and do taste-tests at gelato shops. Kids get excited about riding water buses through Venice's canals, making their own pizzas in Naples and watching the glass masters work their magic on Murano. The schedule includes good downtime too - afternoons by the pool and casual dinners in neighborhood restaurants where locals eat.

Trip overall was a good experience the tour director and our coach driver's were awesome!!! The hotel in Venice was awful outlet and lights didn't work their staff was rude and unaccomodating we couldn't use the pool on a hot day cause it was always closed thank God we only spent 1 day there with its filthy walls inside our room. We paid for one optional guide in Venice that was a joke the guide walked us to a abandoned church gave us some history on it and that was it went to St. Marks where none of us got to see the tomb and the tour was over didn't get close to our money's worth the entire group felt this way.

Venice Rome & Santorini 4 Star W/BBQ on a Boat - L

This was our first time using Tour Radar to book our trip and we were very impressed by the experience. We weren't aware that we had to download What's App for communication (security questions around that app) but outside of that, there were no surprises. You need to be patient to get your hotel information and booking confirmations, but once you get them - you have all the information you could ever need. They reached out daily to make sure everything was going smoothly and we never had to question if things were going to work out. We were very impressed with all of the bookings, transfers, tours and just the trip overall. We were able to truly relax and enjoy.

The Hotel El Greco in Santorini caters to families with dedicated children's facilities. One parent noted: "The guides brought ancient history to life in a way that kept even our youngest engaged throughout the tour at Pompeii."
How do family tours handle transportation between destinations in Greece and Italy?
Transportation networks connect all major sites through a mix of private transfers high-speed trains between Italian cities and ferry services linking Greek islands. A recent review stated: "All the transfers were perfectly organized especially in Greece where our guide made sure the kids were comfortable during the longer journeys between Athens and Delphi."
How long should families plan to stay to see the highlights of both countries?
Most successful family trips require 12-14 days to cover the essential destinations at a comfortable pace. Standard itineraries like the "Best of Italy and Greece" allocate time across Rome (3 days) Florence (2 days) Venice (2 days) Athens (3 days) and the Greek Islands (4 days). A family reviewer reported: "The 14-day itinerary gave us enough time in each place without feeling rushed with built-in downtime for the kids."
