My mates and I had a blast getting absolutely STOKED at Stoketoberfest. The tents were a bit rough but were absolutely perfect for this kind of event - literally just a place to pass out! The entertainment was fab and was really easy to get into to the main Oktoberfest halls from their campsite. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to go to Oktoberfest on a budget and have the party of their lives

Had an unforgettable time at Oktoberfest with Stoke Travel. The guides were incredibly fun and helpful, always making sure everyone was having a great time. The food was surprisingly good, especially after a long day of partying, and there was always more than enough to go around. The party atmosphere at the campsite was next level, with live DJs, games, and non-stop energy. Facilities were clean and well-organized, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the ultimate Oktoberfest adventure.

What our customers ask about Camping Holidays in Europe
When is the best time for camping in Europe to avoid crowds and bad weather?
For the best camping experience in Europe head out during May-June or September-October. These months offer a sweet spot of mild weather and fewer tourists. Northern Spain's camping areas such as La Rioja see temperatures of 20-25°C in May and June with minimal rain. September brings excellent conditions to the Basque Country coinciding with the wine harvest. The Mediterranean coast stays warm enough for comfortable camping through October. A TourRadar traveler shares: "We went camping in June and the weather was perfect - warm days for outdoor activities and cool nights for comfortable sleeping plus we avoided the July-August tourist crowds."
What type of camping accommodations can I expect on a European camping tour?
European campsites provide well-maintained facilities and quality equipment. Popular spots like Camping Les Marmottes in Les Bossons and Camping le Pontet in Les Contamines come equipped with modern conveniences: hot showers electric hookups bars and internet access. Guests stay in roomy 3-person dome tents (used for 2 people) featuring sewn-in groundsheets and covered entrance areas. A TourRadar traveler notes: "The campsites are in stunning settings and sharing an after-trek drink with newly made friends as the sun sets over a glaciated mountain is the perfect way to enjoy the great outdoors."
How challenging are camping tours in Europe?
The difficulty level of European camping tours ranges from moderate to demanding. Alpine routes include daily walks of 6-8 hours covering 10-15km with height gains of 800-1000m. Iceland's Laugavegur Trail features 4-6 hour daily treks across volcanic landscapes. A TourRadar traveler explains: "The walking is demanding so as the grade says it is challenging. It's rather like going up Ben Nevis everyday but with lots of fab views and camping adds another dimension of adventure."
What facilities are available at European campsites?
European campsites typically offer comprehensive amenities. Camping Les Rocailles in Champex-Lac features hot showers power points laundry facilities shared cooking spaces and WiFi. Remote locations like Theth National Park provide basic but adequate facilities. A TourRadar traveler reports: "Most campsites were excellent with very good facilities though mountain sites were more basic but had incredible views to compensate."
How do I manage luggage and valuables while camping in Europe?
Support vehicles handle main luggage transport between locations on most European camping tours such as the Tour du Mont Blanc where hikers carry only daypacks. Sites including Camping les Glaciers in La Fouly provide secure storage options. A TourRadar traveler confirms: "The support van was well organized carrying our gear between camps while we just carried daypacks - made the hiking much more enjoyable."
