The choice of hotels were excellent and very good value for money. Food in hotels was of a high standard. Our group was great fun and having caught the. Melody Ship to Italy I met my daughter in Italy and flew to uk for this tour. The scenery was beautiful and I loved every bit of the tour often looking at my DVDs I took to remind me of the great memories. I can not load my DVDs the technology is too much for. A 74 year old duck.

Lasse Darmstadt was our guide, and was exceptional. He was knowledgable, entertaining and thoughtful at every turn. We could not have asked for a better guide. As a professor I am aware of the skills it takes to convey information to a group with varied interests and he stick-handled this superbly. Full marks.

Everything was organised from the start to the finish with lots of optional activities and time for solo exploring. As it was my first contiki of which I thoroughly enjoyed, it's safe to say it won't be my last !

I went as a solo traveler and was a little nervous, but ended up making the greatest memories and some great friends. Our guide, Lasse, couldn't have been better. He is a big part of what made the trip so unforgettable - he went above and beyond every chance he could. Everything was well organized which made everything so easy. Accommodations were good. The only (slight) complaint I have is that the hotels in Paris and Amsterdam were kind of far away from the center of things, but I guess that's what made them so affordable. They were, however, located very close to metro/tram stations, so it was still very easy to get to everything. Overall fantastic experience, and I would definitely do another Contiki tour in the future.

All of the inclusions were amazing, and the Me Time Optional Add Ons were well worth the price. The dinner in Montemarte was incredible! I was traveling solo, and was a little worried about having a roommate, especially one that I didn't know, but it turned out really well! Everyone on the tour was super nice and friendly and funny, and we all had a great time. Our tour guide, Lasse, was amazing. Let's just say that our group got into a situation that only he could have gotten us out of.
Both hotel rooms were very nice, though the room in Paris was a little cramped for two people. It was also really nice to have a hot breakfast at the hotel that was included.
All in all, I definitely recommend this particular tour, and Contiki in general.

And the best decisions I have ever made have been done when I decided to go for it rather than think it through (which would have missed the tour, in my case). The sights were incredible, the rooms were comfortable (hostels are fine by me as I'm not concerned with grand aesthetics), and it was never difficult to find a vegetarian meal (both thanks to the area and my great tour manager). This experience was easily one of my most memorable ever.

It's not your classic European drinkathon tour. It's much better and well it's Russia your going to. He whole trip is an expensive one but that's due to the places ur going to. The accommodation starts with quad share accommodation and once in Russia and further it goes into twin share. The accommodation to be fair is awesome, if the hostel is worst for ware it's because u wake up with amazing views! This tour was a while ago now and a lot has happened but the accommodation that stood out were Copenhagen and st Petersburg wi the longest hallway I've ever seen. If your even thinking about doing Scandinavia or Russia just do this tour it's brilliant! Enough about the tour though and let's talk about the tour guide. Lasse damstoft and driver rafal kolaszkiewicz. Both were bloody amazing. The stories and the bromance those two had was really good and made the tour that much better and enjoyable. Their professionalism shone through as the tour went along, the drives were smooth and always on time, Lasse always made time go fast with his petriotism of damnamrk and troll stories, the local guides that we met there also had good relations with Lasse and Rafal which you could see with the amount of smiles and how their passion shine through their words.
Not only did they chat with us, partied with us and guided us but they made us feel safe and took care of everything as long as teach two other contiki leaders that were there on training. Really this was an amazing trip and recommend it to everyone.

The flexibility of Contiki allows for the guides to tailor trips as required, which allowed our group to spend Bastille Day in Paris, which was one of the trips highlights!
The tours and meals which were included in our package were great value for money and were all prebooked.
I would recommend that everyone does a contiki at least once and hope that yoy get an exceptional guide like Lasse!

From the first moment that he met us as a group it was so clear how passionate he was about his job. He had tailored playlists for each and every city that we arrived in along with matching outfits which really helped to get us excited after a huge day of driving.
I personally had a couple of issues whilst on Contiki, I got a rather serious chest infection that I didn't know about for quite some time and one of the main things that stands out to this day was a night that we were in a club in Florence and they turned the smoke machine on. I proceeded to have a horrendous asthma attack and when Lasse came out to check on me he was so determined that this would not ruin my evening. He went straight inside talked to the staff and had them agree to not turn the smoke machine on for the remainder of the evening. I proceeded to dance all night without any worries. Lasse is also the reason that I went to the hospital to get treated. I am so stubborn that I refused to believe that anything was wrong and Lasse cajoled me into going, thankfully.
There was also the evening where I slipped and hurt my knee in a bar in Athens (I'm rather accident prone, you see) and Lasse made an ice pack sat me down and repeatedly bandaged my knee the next day for me.
Apart from all the major stand out moments of kindness that he showed me there was his every day demeanour. Lasse was always laughing and smiling even when the pressure was on, he seemed to have the answer to every stupid "where's the closest ATM?" and a solution for every "I can't eat this what else is there?" And never seemed phased by the groups seeming dependence on him.
He was so knowledgable about every city that we went to along with periodically alerting us to anything that was Danish, did you know that Aqua are Danish?
Because of Lasse my Europe trip was incredible and I cannot thank him enough. Three gold stars for Lasse Damstoft and 14/10.

I have been on other tours before and the thing that set this trip apart from the rest was the amazing staff led by Tour Manager Lasse. Lasse was the ultimate professional, he effortless learnt everyone’s name and made everyone feel like they were getting their own VIP experience of Europe. I was so lucky to have Lasse as my tour manager, he had extraordinary knowledge of each city and associated history and he went above and beyond everyday to make it the best experience for the entire group. The most important thing for me is I felt so safe and carefree with the group led by Lasse, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy while everything was being organized for us. I highly recommend this tour! I had the best time of life. The memories and friends I have made on this tour I will treasure for life and I am lucky enough to still catch up with some of these friends who without this trip I would have never met.

Our tour guide Lasse was knowledgeable and well prepared for each country we visited thoroughly. Lasse was friendly, polite and always had time for all. I was made really comfortable and accepted even though I was the oldest male on the tour. I would recommend this tour and any tour Lasse was in charge of as it will be full of fun, laughter and insite.

European contrasts...29 days, each one containing its own little piece of excitement and the odd case of drama which was always going to happen. Travelling by coach throughout Europe is a relaxing way to see the sights - Ben was an excellent driver, getting us from A to B and all the rest with no dramas.
Lasse was our guide and everywhere we went, every bit of history or beauty we were enlightened with - Lasse was able to share with us his in depth knowledge. Outside of the facts of Europe he was a fun loving your guide who went out of his way to make sure the whole 49 strong team was happy. He was able to diffuse situations, point us in the right direction and source good for even the fussiest of diets (all one chick ate was spaghetti and chips

He went above and beyond to provide useful information to optimise time in a city, presented accurate historical facts in an interesting manner, gave us the opportunity to follow him to places he visited in his own time, resolved any issues promptly, and was always there when you needed him.

I was lucky enough to have my first experience with Contiki back in 2013 when I explored Europe on the Winter Wanderer Tour - 24 days through some of the most popular travel destinations Europe has to…I was lucky enough to have my first experience with Contiki back in 2013 when I explored Europe on the Winter Wanderer Tour - 24 days through some of the most popular travel destinations Europe has to offer. The coach was immaculate - clean, comfortable and with charging plugs to ensure your camera was always ready for the many photo stops. Our hotel accomodations were always to a great standard, providing grand breakfasts and comfortable rooms including heating in places that required it - such as in the alps of Switzerland where we were met with fresh snowfall! The meals included were exceptional, breakfasts were amazing buffets and dinners were 3 course, mostly with drinks included. Transport between the hotel and extra actives was always provided by the coach, and our amazing driver often went outside of his regular duties to drop us off for dinner or a night out to save us using public transport. But the key to our amazing tour was our incredible manager, Lasse. Lasse went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had the trip of a lifetime, often organising actives outside of the itinerary just for our benefit. This included pub crawls, dinners and a visit to the Parliament building in Berlin where we spent a night climbing the spiral building and having amazing views from the roof. Lasse was always on hand to answer questions, and knew the history of every single place visited like the back of his hand. He gave us the information in such an interesting and captivating way, and provided us with information sheets for every city with places to see, eat, drink and local language essentials - absolutely key to ensure we got the most out of our short time in each place. He proved to be able to cope with difficult situations when one of our tour group went missing after a night out, ensuring the correct protocol was followed and doing everything in his power help the missing mans partner stay at the hotel and give her the resources she needed, including arranging for the couple to get to the next destination to re-join the tour once he had been located. A no doubt stressful situation to be in as a manager but Lasse was incredibly professional and remained calm for the rest of the travellers.
The tour was a great mix of sightseeing, fun, food, adventure and good nights out! Catering to all on board - an equal mix of couples and singles and great mix of ages. I had such as amazing experience with Contiki on this tour that i came back one year later to do another Contiki through Scandinavia and Russia. Cannot recommend Coniki and Lasse enough, their level of professionalism and knowledge is unbeatable.

Lasse was knowledgeable and friendly, he even arranged a locum doctor visit for me when i was unwell in berlin! he knew of all the good spots to visit, away from the main tourist attractions which made this trip truly unforgettable. The contiki itself was done at a very relaxing pace, spending 2 nights in each city we visited, meaning we had ample time to take in the culture and more importantly the food!

Lasse Damstoft was an amazing tour guide. He went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. He had an extensive knowledge of all the countries we visited and is such a approachable and friendly person. Lasse hadn't been working for Contiki long when we had him as a tour manager and you would have thought he had been working with Contiki for years because of how organised, approachable and knowledgable he was. He's an awesome tour manager and a huge asset to the Contiki team. Anyone who has been lucky enough to have Lasse as a tour manager is very fortunate. I know everyone on our tour felt the same.

Laser and Richy, the bus driver, were a great team, keeping the bus entertained during all hours on board.

My tour was at the end of 2012, the Winter Wanderer, and I still remember it as one of the best two weeks of my life.

He has incredible knowledge about each city and will personalise his advice based on what you want to get out of a city. In addition to this, he organised extras for us including picnic lunches with traditional scadinavian food and photo stops. The most unique part of Lasse's trips is his music playlists which are set to each city you visit. It is things like this that show Lasse's dedication to his job goes far beyond the basic tour manager role.

Our tour manager and coach driver were both young and fun and made the trip a million times better than if we had gone ourselves! So many games and interesting facts made the long drives enjoyable, not to mention karaoke for those who were late getting back to the coach. The hotels we stayed at were awesome. Definitely the trip of a lifetime where we made friends and memories for life.

Our Tour manager Lasse was amazing. Really professional, knew his history and provided us, i think, with the best experiance possible. For all of us it was special because it was the first contiki any of us had done, including Lasse.
I would do a contiki again if i knew id have te same team leading me.

In addition, during our various visits, we were dropped off at locations for hours with no plans to do anything . Optional excursions that I paid for were missed because he never announced which group was going where.
The first hotel in Rome was in the middle of nowhere and the receptionist who spoke Fluent Italian was unwilling to call the driver of my prepaid Transportation.
I have been a frequent traveler to various parts of Europe, namely Italy and by far this was the cheapest run trip. The dinners

Guided tour started when when we left London after 2 days in AM. so it was 8 days guided trip not 10 days guided trip as it was advertised, so website was wrong. I think you guys need to fix this because had I known it was not guided in London, I would not have booked it. Otherwise trip was great.
