Enjoyed the whole experience. Several things need improvement. You need to offer Versalles entrance as an option. Everyone wanted to go in. It was sold out and we were told we should have bought our tickets ahead, but no one could tell us when we would be there or for how long, till we got there. Everyone wanted more time in Peniscola. A recommendation to come a day early or stay a day later to catch The Lourve or Prago. Nobody liked the Paris hotel. Bad neighborhood. Overall, a wonderful tour and trip.

So disorganised, although this wasn’t the guides fault. I had paid for an optional tour to see Moulin Rouge which was very expensive and included transfers from hotel, which according to the police was in an unsafe neighbourhood. I was told at 4pm on the day that I had to find my own way there and back as no one else had booked. Seriously!! I asked for a refund and the tour guide worked some transport out for me. That was day 2. Most of the hotel were in terrible locations except for a couple. No one seems to have any concept of time and we constantly arrived late to hotels. There were so many issues, food at some of the hotels also being one of them, but I know you won’t make any changes so am not going to waste any further time with this review. The last thing I will say is that I wil tell everyone I know to never tour with Europamundo.

I really enjoyed my tour from Paris to Barcelona, everything was organised well. The bus driver was so nice and drove us around safe and the guide Bruno was very knowledgeable of the places we went and made it interesting as well with some humour. Because of the heatwave some of the eating places were uncomfotable due to no aircon.

- Winter 2025 / 2026
The winter routes really make the most of indoor cultural experiences across our Three Countries tour. You'll warm up in Andorra's thermal spas and duck into Barcelona's busy tapas bars when it's cold outside. Our travelers tell us there's something special about Carcassonne's old stone walls in the winter light. The tour includes some great indoor activities - you can head down into Bordeaux's wine cellars and join cooking classes in San Sebastian's old town. For the Paris departures, we mix visits to the Louvre with evening shows in Montmartre's intimate cabaret venues.

- Spring 2026
Spring brings out the vibrant energy of France and Spain's shared culture, with TourRadar customers drawn to tours that blend Paris's essential sights with Mediterranean coastal experiences. April and May departures help you avoid the peak crowds at major attractions like the Eiffel Tower and La Sagrada Familia, while temperatures stay mild and pleasant. Tours typically begin in Paris, where morning walks through historic quarters flow into Seine river cruises and visits to notable galleries. As groups move south, they discover Saint Paul de Vence's medieval streets and rich artistic past before crossing into Spain. The journey through Nice and Monaco combines coastal beauty with cultural depth, from local wine cellars to ancient hilltop towns glowing at sunset. Our tour director Giovanna weaves in stories and context at French cultural sites, while the schedule balances guided morning activities and afternoon exploration time. Wine lovers appreciate the spring visits to Bordeaux's estates, followed by authentic pintxo tastings in San Sebastian's historic center. For cyclists seeking active exploration, the Marseille to Barcelona path curves through Rhone delta wetlands where flamingos gather, and guide Weronika adapts the cycling pace along coastal routes and through small Catalonian towns.

- Summer 2026
Summer opens up all the best spots along our Mediterranean routes through France and Spain. Starting in Paris, you can take evening boat rides on the Seine and catch the sunset from Montmartre before heading south. The coastal section is particularly good - there are white villages to discover in Andalusia, evening walks on San Sebastian's main beach and local dinner spots in Valencia's old quarter. Our customers love the nighttime activities: Granada's Moorish quarter comes alive with flamenco shows, Barcelona's harbor front is perfect for sunset drinks and also Madrid's La Latina neighborhood is ideal for late-night tapas. When the coast gets hot, the Pyrenees section offers cooler mountain air with stops in medieval Andorra and Montserrat's hilltop monastery.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn tours through France and Spain have become quite popular during harvest season, when temperatures turn comfortable and crowds thin out. Our TourRadar customers particularly like the Three Countries route, which takes in wine harvests in Bordeaux, seasonal festivals in medieval towns and also traditional celebrations. The cultural experiences come alive in autumn - you'll join cooking workshops in San Sebastian when seafood hits its peak and navigate Barcelona's neighborhoods with more space to explore. Mixed-pace itineraries work wonderfully, combining walks along Carcassonne's ancient walls with intimate visits to wine cellars in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Mediterranean sections get high marks from travelers who appreciate the milder temperatures for coastal walks, while mountain paths through Andorra and also Montserrat deliver crisp views across color-changing landscapes. Paris serves as an ideal starting point in autumn, with shorter lines at major attractions like the Eiffel Tower, and evening river cruises catch that perfect golden light unique to these months.

How Can I Plan a Trip Combining France and Spain?
You'll be happy to know combining these countries works really well! Most travelers spend about two weeks exploring both - plenty of time to experience Paris Barcelona and beyond. The transportation network makes it super easy to get around and you'll find high-speed trains connecting all the major spots. If you're looking for a comprehensive experience our Three Countries tour hits 22 amazing destinations including Paris Bordeaux Carcassonne and Barcelona.
What's the Best Way to Get Between France and Spain?
Train travel is definitely your best bet here. Both countries have fantastic rail networks and the high-speed trains - TGV in France and AVE in Spain - make getting around a breeze. For example you can hop on a high-speed train from Barcelona to Paris (included in our From Madrid to Paris tour) and you'll be there in just over 6 hours relaxing and enjoying the scenery the whole way.
How Can I Experience Local Food Culture?
There's so many ways to dive into the food scene! In Spain you can join a fantastic Tapas Tour through Seville's vibrant Barrio de Triana where you'll hop between traditional tabernas sampling all sorts of local specialties. If you're into cooking you'll love the Valencia Paella Experience where you'll learn to make authentic paella right in the heart of its birthplace. Over in France you can go truffle hunting with a local farmer in Tournus - it's amazing seeing how they find these treasures! Our France and Portugal Encounter tour even includes some cultural activities like tile painting in Porto.
How Does Transportation Work in Both Countries?
Getting around is really straightforward in both places. France has this great network of high-speed TGV trains connecting the major cities plus regional TER trains for exploring smaller towns. Spain's setup is pretty similar with their AVE high-speed trains and regional services. If you join our Best of Spain & Southern France & Italy Lakes tour you'll travel by private coach hitting amazing spots like Madrid Merida Seville Cordoba Granada and Barcelona.
What Are Some Must-Try Local Dishes and Where Should I Have Them?
You're in for some serious treats! In Spain you've got to try authentic paella in Valencia - it's completely different from what you might've had elsewhere. The Basque Country especially San Sebastian is famous for pintxos - these amazing little snacks served in local bars. In France don't miss the escargots in Paris (they're actually delicious!) prepared with garlic butter. When you're in Brittany the crêpes are incredible with all sorts of fillings. And if you've got a sweet tooth grab some colorful macarons in Paris - they're absolutely worth the hype.
