Excellent trip made more memorable by the outstanding crew of A Rosa ALVA. Cruise Director Gaby made us feel welcome and ensured we made the most of tour and excursion opportunities when at port. Our trip was impacted by circumstances totally out of A Rosa’s control and their management and ‘work arounds’ were faultless. We especially enjoyed our multi national guests who went out of their way to be inclusive and welcoming. Language differences were no barrier with all announcements being made in English and German. Likewise all of our tours where we had the pleasure of Mario describing the action in English. Highly recommend A Rosa and would happily travel with them again. Thank you!

My Croisi River Cruise of the Douro River was so good. I totally enjoyed it. The one thing that I felt could improve would be to spend more time cruising on the river instead of so many shore excursions. The excursions were very good and interesting but I particularly loved cruising on the lovely Douro the most. The staff on the boat were exceptionally good, friendly, caring and helpful. Sonia was particularly helpful when I managed to leave my medication on the boat after disembarking. She found it and sent it by taxi to me. Exceptional service! I enjoyed the food and wine on this trip. Each meal was delicious and well presented, with wine flowing freely. Thank you to all for making my first river cruise such fun and a great experience.
