Explore the impressive Kata Tjuta rock formations through a 2-6 hour hike in Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, depending on weather. Take the 406km (4.5-hour) drive to Kings Canyon region for sunset and overnight stay. Bring a power bank since campsites often have limited electricity.

Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Begin early to explore Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park. The rim walk offers views of 100-meter cliffs and deep sandstone chasms. "The hikes were challenging but rewarding - bring sturdy shoes with grip," one reviewer suggested. Drive 250km back to Alice Springs, arriving around 5:30-6:00pm.
