3 Day Australia's Red Centre Itinerary, incl. Uluru and Kings Canyon
Sacred sites of Uluru, Kata Tjuta's Valley of the Winds, and Kings Canyon's towering cliffs highlight this three-day adventure. Comfortable safari tent accommodation supports daily guided walks ranging 2-6km, with expert commentary on local culture.

- Day 1
Alice Springs to Uluru
Leave Alice Springs early for the 350km drive to Uluru. Take a break at Mt. Connor lookout, which many mistake for Uluru, and stop at Curtin Springs to rest. "Although it might be crazy to visit in summer (February is too hot), the scenery is beautiful and the aboriginal culture is captivating," one traveler shared. After lunch, visit the Aboriginal cultural center to understand the area's importance. The afternoon brings you face-to-face with Uluru. Take the 2-3km walk to Mutitjulu waterhole to see ancient rock art and learn about the Kuniya and Liru creation stories. Visit Kantju Gorge to see Central Australia's highest waterfall site. Watch the sunset over Uluru during dinner. Remember to pack layers since desert temperatures change quickly between day and night.

- Day 2
Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon
Start before dawn to see sunrise at Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. One visitor noted: "Starting early worked really well - we saw Uluru at sunset and Kings Canyon and Kata Tjuta at sunrise." Explore the impressive Kata Tjuta rock formations through a 2-6 hour hike in Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, depending on weather. Take the 406km (4.5-hour) drive to Kings Canyon region for sunset and overnight stay. Bring a power bank since campsites often have limited electricity.

- Day 3
Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
3 Day Uluru Red Centre Kings Canyon (Camping) - From Ayers Rock
