What people love about Ancient Wonders Tours in Galicia
- Trekking the Camino de Santiago
Concept: I thought our trip was very well planned out, as far as miles per day and where the break stops were licated. Dinner: I especially liked the "homelike" food experiences, where I felt like a local had invited us into their home for a meal. Overall, most food was good quality. I noticed most of us were more interested in the "combos", offering a starter, entree and a drink, rather than ala carte'. Lodging: I thought all of our lodging was clean and adequate. However, I feel like all of the lodging should provide air conditioning. Some days were humid, and a good night's sleep would be all that we needed. Breakfast: I felt as though the concept of a buffet worked the best in the morning, rather than having a voucher for "choose 1 of these combos" style. Self-serve was important in the morning so we could "grab and go", use the bathroom and be ready to walk by the scheduled time. Tour guide: David did an excellent job bringing the culture of Spain and the Camino to our trip. He was very friendly, knowledgable, approachable and genuinely interested in us as well. Overall, I had a great time and met a lot of nice people who I will keep in touch with. Once again, David was wonderful and made for a memorable experience! I would book this trip again. Thanks! - Walk the Camino de Santiago
Our tour guide Marco was exceptional. Marco had incredible knowledge of the area we hiked through and always had our best interests at heart.
- Portuguese Camino
I had the most wonderful experience on the Portuguese Camino! Elisa "Eli" Bernardinello was an exceptional tour guide! Her wealth of knowledge, welcoming personality, and guidance to ensure that I had an enjoyable time are what contributed to an unforgettable journey. I would highly recommend this tour to others who are interested in this pilgrimage.
