What people love about Fully Guided Tours in Mount Kangchenjunga
- Mera Peak Climbing
Had a great time with Unique Adventure. When looking for a organization to help me book a trip for Mera Peak and Island Peak, Khum and his team were very responsive. The overall communication was very professional, swift and clear. The team showed flexibility in setting up the itinerary and made sure everything was arranged. During the trip I was contacted multiple times to check whether everything was going according to plan which felt like the people were really engaged and making sure I was having the trip of a lifetime. Thanks to Khum, Chris and his team and a special thanks to Dawi Furi Sherpa who was my guide for the entire trip selected by Unique Adventure. Would highly recommend booking a trip with them if you’re looking for a professional and great company for trekking/climbing in Nepal.
- Kanchenjunga Trek
We did about close to 2 weeks trek in Nepal. It was me, my boyfriend, and my friend, so it was only 3 of us. Pasang, our guide was amazing, friendly, and well spoken. He welcomed us by picking us up from the airport and take us to the hotel. He explained to us what our trip would be like after we were well rested. We spent a day in KTM sightseeing after that we flew from KTM to BHR , first of all, the process of getting in and out of domestic airports in Nepal is insane and Pasang was there to take care of everything. He organized everything from the tea houses, foods, jeep rides, our trek, our porters(they were amazing!) etc. The Kanchenjunga trek itself was amazing. It was more remote and we all enjoyed that very much. It was stress-free, there was no worries. I would do it all over again. I’ve never been in a higher attitude climate before, so I would trek slower than everyone else when we got to a higher attitude, but Pasang always makes sure to stay with me or have his assistance hike with me. It was my first time in Nepal and I truly enjoyed this moment in Nepal from their multi-culture diversity and Kanchenjunga trek. It is definitely nice going to Nepal for a hike and have met so many amazing people including Pasang. He treated everyone around him like family and that’s what I appreciate about our wonderful guide.
- Mera Peak Climb
I did the Mera Peak trekking over 15 days, organized by Nepal Climbing Adventure. Mr. Krishna Subedi (Kris) is the manager of the organization. He is a very good co-ordinator, puts you immediately on whatsapp when you arrive, and keeps following up your trekking and summit experience. When there were small problems, he immediately took action and contacted the right people. My guide Mr. Neyma Sherpa was also very helpfull and an excellent guide. The trek itself was very enjoyable. The Tea houses were very good and they were very flexible when i prefered another teahouse than the one they already booked. I really recommend Nepal Climbing Adventure! A few extra things to keep in mind: - The month May used to be the best month for Mera Peak but we had a lot of rain... May-be April or October is becoming better now... - Listen to your guide at all times and don't go up to fast. The trekking is also about acclimatizing. Sometimes you need that extra day at 4000m... - Take a portable solar panel with you and a power bank. (min 12W, 20W is better). It will pay itself back. You pay a lot in the teahouses to get your phone charged (a lot of them also use solar power). - I personally prefer not to rent climbing gear but to take my own. I always hike and climb with the same pair of C boots with semi-automatic crampons. My C boots are big enough to wear 2 pair of socks if necessary. My smartwhool socks were warm enough on the summit day (-10 to -15 °C) - Take a porter. They are not expensive and your hiking comfort will increase a lot. - Don't forget to use sunscreen, especially on the summit day when you leave at 2 am in the dark and you're not thinking about the sun at that time. - Make sure you are in excellent physical shape. After the summit, you will need 3 more days to get to Lukla.
