It was an amazing experience! The itinerary was perfect for seeing all of the amazing sites and castles. Laurentiu was so knowledgeable about the area and the history of Romania. I learned so much more than I expected! Also, our driver Mihai was the best! He transported us safely from destination to destination. Laurentiu and Mihai were the BEST! They made sure we had a great experience, and went above and beyond to make us all happy. I highly recommend this tour!

Our travelers often join in with harvest activities in the villages - helping collect grapes for wine or preparing traditional winter preserves with local families. Winter really shines for cultural touring in Transylvania when the big crowds thin out. Our small groups get to explore Peles Castle, Bran Castle and other sites with much more space to themselves. The medieval towns look particularly good with a dusting of snow - you'll get excellent photos in Brasov's Council Square and walking across Sibiu's Bridge of Lies. Many of our travelers tell us how the Gothic chambers of Bran Castle feel properly atmospheric in winter, especially during our private after-hours visits when you practically have the whole place to yourself. The early sunsets and crisp air really add to that mysterious castle mood.
