7-Day Tanzania Tour Packages
Want a solid Tanzania safari that hits the key parks? It’s got to be the Serengeti for wildlife and migration, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire for elephants and baobabs. You could swap Tarangire for Lake Manyara and its tree-climbing lions, or extend to Zanzibar's beaches. Tanzania's safari infrastructure is excellent, with good lodges, experienced guides, and well-managed parks. The wildlife viewing rivals anywhere globally.

7 Days in Tanzania Safari, incl. Serengeti and Ngorongoro
Tanzania's natural wonders unfold over seven days: Lake Manyara's tree-climbing lions, Serengeti's vast plains, and Ngorongoro's diverse wildlife. Springlands Hotel and luxury lodges provide comfort while covering 4 major parks.

- Day 1
Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi
- Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park
Take an early 3-hour drive to Lake Manyara. Morning is the best time to spot active wildlife including tree-climbing lions and large elephant herds near the lake. You can visit an authentic Maasai village in the afternoon for an extra $50. Bring binoculars to spot the amazing variety of birds along the shore.

- Days 3-4
Serengeti National Park
The 5-6 hour drive to Serengeti is scenic and you can stop at Olduvai Gorge archaeological site. You'll spend two full days on game drives across the vast plains. "Our guide knew exactly where to position us for the best wildlife viewing - we spent an unforgettable hour watching five lionesses with their 20 cubs playing near a rock outcropping."

- Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
- Day 6
Tarangire National Park
- Day 7
Return to Kilimanjaro
7 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing, incl. Marangu Route and Uhuru Peak
The classic Kilimanjaro route spans 7 days: 2 nights at Panama Garden Resort and 4 in mountain huts. The 65km trail crosses 5 ecological zones, from Marangu Gate (1,860m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), visiting Mandara, Horombo, and Kibo Huts.

- Day 1
Moshi Arrival and Preparation
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and take a 45-minute transfer to Moshi town. Check your equipment and rent any missing gear locally. It's best to arrive at least 24 hours before your climb to acclimatize and organize your gear. Don't skip the pre-climb briefing - it's essential for understanding what lies ahead.

- Day 2
Marangu Gate (1,860m) to Mandara Hut (2,700m)
- Day 3
Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Take on a moderate 10km trek through moorland vegetation lasting 5-6 hours. You'll spot your first views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. For better acclimatization take a short afternoon walk 200m higher before returning to sleep at Horombo. One climber noted: "Lots of carbs, rice, noodles and veggies - the mountain food is actually amazing."

- Day 4
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700m)
- Day 5
Summit Day - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Horombo Hut
Begin around midnight for the challenging summit push. The 16km round trip takes 9-12 hours total. Dress in layers since temperatures can drop below -20°C (-4°F). A previous climber advised: "Bring rain pants! The guides really cared that we made it to the summit and ensured we had everything we needed."

What people love about 7-day Tanzania tours
- Big Five Classic Safari in Tanzania **Sustainable Approach to Travel
There are not enough words to explain our enjoyment of this trip, so to para phrase “IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT PLUS MORE!” Upon arrival @ Kilimanjaro we were met by our driver holding a sign with our names on it (don’t be scammed by ‘other’ driver wanting to know where you're going etc, they are there to steal you away for their business). Our driver transported us safety to our resort hotel (Springlands hotel)
- 7 Days Mount Kilimanjaro - Marangu Route
I and my other three friends did the Marangu 5 day trek. Frank met us and helped to ensure we had the correct equipment prior to beginning (tip-bring rain pants!). We were able to chat with our guide Noel as well and he gave us an overview of the five days. We each had three porters with a cook and two guides so our party had fifty total. Noel and Emmanuel (guides) were absolutely amazing. They really cared that we made it to the summit and ensured we had everything we needed (to include Noel making sure we got the nice cabins every night)! The food was more than five stars (lots of carbs, rice, noodles and veggies)-Muddy was an amazing Cook. Summit morning was awesome (for me), my sister had a little trouble but Noel and Emmanuel took such good care of her to make sure she reached the top. Lastly, Frank was able to hook us up with a few hours at a hotel to let us shower prior to our flight (we forgot about that). Overall. Steppe Dogs adventures is definitely the way to go!!!
