Our target was 12 lemurs we got 15. Fabrice our tour guide was fantastic and our driver Patrick is one of the best. The trip excursions exceeded our expectations with the right amount of walking. The road trips were interspersed with aside trips to break up the journey. Be aware that the journey can be quite humbling in some respects The standard of accommodation needs serious work by both the operator and owners.
Madagascar AdventureThis was a very enjoyable trip. Our driver in Morandava was excellent and really good at driving on the bad roads. A truly memorable trip. He had limited English but we really enjoyed our time with him. He was helpful in giving advice in relation to how much we should pay for things in Morandava. Only negative was with our driver in Antananarivo. He collected us very early from our hotel to go to the palace. We arrived at the hotel at 1am and he picked us up at 10am. We would have no issue with this but for he had no plans with what to do with us! We went shopping and to the palace and finished at 1pm. Our flight was until midnight and he had no suggestions of what to do. Ultimately we went for lunch and more shopping. We finished at 4pm and he tried to drop us to the airport! 8 and half hours before our flight. He dropped us off in a Ibis hotel for a drink to pass time but we were so bored we went to the airport for around 7. We couldn't check into our flight for hours. I also paid extra for a night transfer because of our late flight. It's annoying because we could've stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the pool longer in the morning instead of starting at 10. The itinerary also states two dinners included but we received only one.

What our customers ask about Adventure & Adrenaline Tours & Trips in Madagascar
When is the best time to go on an Adventure tour in Madagascar?
Madagascar's dry season from April to October provides ideal conditions for adventure tours and national park visits. The eastern rainforests see less rainfall from September to November making trails more accessible at parks like Ranomafana. The western regions near Morondava and the Tsingy show their best side from May to October with weather that's well-suited for outdoor activities. A TourRadar traveler noted "Madagascar's weather can be challenging but our guide timed all activities perfectly during the dry season."
What wildlife encounters can I expect on a Madagascar Adventure tour?
Madagascar's signature wildlife experience centers on its lemurs with opportunities to spot up to 12 different species. The Indri Indri, Madagascar's largest lemur can be found in Andasibe National Park while Ranomafana houses the rare golden bamboo lemurs. How do I prepare for the road conditions during a Madagascar Adventure tour?
Road travel in Madagascar requires preparation especially for remote areas. Tours typically use 4x4 vehicles to handle rough terrain. Bringing motion sickness medication and dust masks is recommended particularly for unpaved routes near the Tsingy. A TourRadar traveler noted: "The roads were rough but our driver was excellent. Having a quality 4x4 vehicle made a huge difference especially on the long drive from Morondava to Bekopaka where we stayed at ANKARANA LODGE."
