Belize and Guatemala Tours

Regina was an absolutely fantastic tour leader throughout our Central America trip. The journey itself was incredible, but her personality and energy made it truly unforgettable. She brought such vibrancy to every day, turning an already amazing itinerary into something even more epic. Regina was exceptionally organised, deeply knowledgeable about each country we visited and always approachable, whether we needed help, had questions, or just wanted a friendly chat. Her passion for travel and genuine care for the group shone through in everything she did. I had the best time and made memories that will last a lifetime, and Regina played a huge part in that. Couldn’t have asked for a better leader🤩

This was a great tour to become immersed in the cultures of all 3 countries. I booked without accommodation as I did not want to stay in hostels as an older person doing the tour so I arranged budget hotels at my expense instead. Just to warn other travellers, you need to be physically fit to do this tour, as there is a volcano hike that is around 4km, as well as a 2km hike around Semuc Champey. Be prepared for that one as well - it took me by surprise because of the humidity in the Lanquin valley as well as by how slippery some of the steps were. I recommend travellers also bring water shoes for this activity and also for any other swimming and snorkeling activities you may sign up for in Caye Caulker or Tulum. Be advised as well that there are a number of long bus rides, especially the one from Belize to Mexico, and wifi isn’t always available on the bus. Buying an eSIM isn’t a bad idea. The earliest morning was the tour to Tikal as it departed at 4:30am. You will be thankful that it’s early since it can be quite humid in northern Guatemala as well. Bring bug spray for your ankles, as the stories about the sand fleas are no joke. This is a great tour but be prepared for the mental and physical challenges.
